Best Buy $9.99

I can't get over all the people who were literally angry months ago about it being $19 or whatever it was. It's now 66 minutes of tremendous music for $9.99. That's a f***ing steal. It's basically what would have been 2 full albums many years ago. The Garden alone is worth $9.99. smile.gif

I just went to Amazon and did the "tell us about a lower price" thingie
Hopefully they lower the price or I might have to cancel my pre-order and deal with Best Buy... which I hate to do.

Cool. I don't know what's up with amazon. When BB lowered to $11.99, amazon raised to $15.12. They're still hovering at $14.99. wtf.gif

I'm gifting a copy, so I'll be at BB at 10.. knocking grannies and small children down to get to CA.

I'd support my local record store before I bought from Amazon or Best Buy, but I may not be so lucky. . .

Bestbuy.com lists it at $9.99 right now.

Also, for those of you wanting a physical copy that don't have a Best Buy near you, or one that stays open until midnight, try a Super Walmart or Super Target. I talked to both of them in my area and they said they will be putting out next week's new Tuesday releases at 12:01 am. Don't know if that's true everywhere.

I'm off to Best Buy on Monday night to see if they'll sell it to me early.

Yeah, I wondered about that too.

Let us know what you find out about that! smile.gif

There's a record store (remember those?) near me that might sell it early, though probably at more than $9.99. I should give them my business instead of BB anyway.

There's a record store

What is this "record store" of which you speak? huh.gif

I remember when most stores around me in the mall were so-and-so "records and tapes" laugh.gif

I was gonna just do Itunes, but something about this seems significant enough to actually buy the physical copy.

For the first time in a long time I actually want to hold it in my hands and read through the lyrics as I listen.

and the album will look nice sitting next to the novel once I buy that.

I had a contact at a local "mom & pop" shop years back that would sell things before the "magic tuesday" of official release. I sure miss those days! (he also sold me "imports" at a few dollars over HIS cost) I also had a contact that worked for another bands organization that would get me stuff at least a month before release! (in fact I got A Show of Hands on CD and video a good long while before it was released, and I think RtB and Presto as well.)

I get the "official release date" thing, but if the album's in the can, mixed, mastered, and manufactured...why hold out so long to get into our grubby little hands! My guess is that this has been sitting in boxes waiting for shipment for at least two months! It's not like Rush is a "let's get the hype monster working" type of band that needs promotion and a "buzz" created!

Is Best Buy offering an exclusive (like the Time Machine dvd and Joe Walsh's new album)? Regardless they'll probably be my best bet during work. Not sure I want to trust Target will carry it.

The ad only lists the cd, no exclusives.
