The Wreckers - amazing and catchy melody, love the theme in the middle where it breaks down. 2. The Garden - this song is just plain beautiful, what an great way to end the album. 3. Clockwork Angels - awesomeness in its highest degree I. 4. Headlong Flight - awesomeness in its highest degree II. 5. BU2B - loved this song from the firsrt time I heard it. Still one of my favourites and are never skipped despite that I have listened to this song a thousand times. 6. The Anarchist - this song still grows, great but too short guitarsolo. 7. Caravan - love the opening riff/versem immensely cool! 7. Wish Them Well - cool song and crafty lyrics. 9. Seven Cities of Gold - love the 70s riff. 10. Carnies - Cool song, but I still have to appreciate it 100 %. It may be a grower I. 11. Halo Effect - Good song, but maybe the most boring song IMO. It may be a grower II. 12. BU2B2 - not really a song but it works in the context of the album. All in all an 8 of 10 for me, I guess. Best since Counterparts. Personally I like it for what it is - a bridge in the storytelling - but again, it shouldn't be weighed against complete songs. 1) Clockwork Angels (a complete and utter masterpiece) 2) Headlong Flight (getting heavier with age? seriously...) 3) The Garden (what a beautifully crafted song) 4) The Wreckers (killer pop-rock tune) 5) The Anarchist (perfect blend of all musical eras) 6) Caravan (the song as a whole is pretty good, but the bridge/solo is phenomenal) 7) BU2B (the main riff is unbelievably awesome, but the song as a whole is more good than great for me) 8) Halo Effect (not as strong as The Garden, but I like it) 9) Seven Cities of Gold (love the opening, main riff & pre-chorus, but the verses and chorus are just okay for me) 10) Carnies (the bridge/outro makes this one for me; the rest is just alright) 11) Wish Them Well (a distant last for me; even the band admits it took many tries for them to get a version they were okay with, and maybe they should've just found another musical idea to tell this part of the story) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
