It hit 76 in the UK charts. Poor performance for an amazing album.
Wonder if the classic rock edition had anything to do with that?

Isn't the official release date in the UK not until July 9? If so, then how did it even hit 76, if the Fan Pack isn't supposed to count towards the sales figures (at least they don't in the US)? My guess is you'll see that number move much closer to the top of the charts upon official release.

In my opinion, it's presale or import... the fan pack could have been #1, at 40,000 copies...

I don't think it will hit very high up the charts in the Uk. If that 76 placing is the number of fanpack's sold then i'm pretty sure most diehard fans will have bought it already instead of waiting an extra 3 weeks in the UK for the official release. When it is officially released i guess it will mainly be casual listeners who are buying it.

Ummmm.. no. Still in top ten. Or are you using the "fear" ph34r.gif emoticon incorrectly as a sarcasm emoticon?

Why does it matter? Their albums dont sell more than 500k copies anyway so it shouldnt matter to us how much it sells. I doubt the band even really cares all that much. It's been a long time since they sold a lot of albums.

Yeah, you're right about that 500k number. But, to think that the band "doesn't even really care all that much" is a bit of stretch. They're musicians that want to sell their music. Yeah, yeah I already know you'll probably say that most of the money is in touring these days but I'd guess that they still would like to see a bunch of units sold.

I Norway they have been in the top 40 lists since release (3 weeks so far). Best position as number 4 in week 2. THey currently hold number 11 in week 3.

They have received good reviews in the newspapers. S&A didnt even get a review.

This is their best result ever. Though I suspect they sold much more copies before...
