So the rumor that Signals will be played in its entirety ala the Time Machine/Moving Pictures tour is just that, a rumor?

Apologies if this has been covered extensively elsewhere.

S&A is a solid album and that happened to be what they were touring to support. I had no issue with how many songs they played off it.

There's no way CA will be played in its entirety.  They'll play the three songs already released and possibly a few others interspersed in the set, probably opening with Caravan.

As this is an album tour I'm sure the 'look' of the staging will be completely different from the Time Machine tour with new intro, intermission, and outro videos.  In fact, I'll be very surprised if they play ANYTHING from the Time Machine tour.  So, say goodbye to anything from Moving Pictures.

Subdivisions and Working Man have been played for a while and it may be time to release them from the rotation.  (But, seeing how long they left the god-awful Roll The Bones in their set, you never know.)

Maybe time to replace them with an extended version of Different Strings and a re-worked encore of In The Mood?

There is no way that they ignore Moving Pictures. At least Tom Sawyer and YYZ will get played and more than likely Limelight to. I don't know how you would come up with the idea that they won't play anything off it? Unless you're completely clueless as to how Rush does their setlists and how much that album means to them and their fans.

I do have a "clue" as to how they make their set lists, they've said as much: "What did we do last time? What did we play, what didn't we play." (See 'The Boys in Brazil' documentary)

On the S&A tour, 9 of the 13 songs were played! Stand by for the same thing this time around with many CA songs played depending on how strong they believe the album is. (Only 4 VT songs were played on that tour.)

MP does mean a lot to them and their fans, that's why they devoted an entire tour to it last time. Maybe you didn't go. This time around you might get 1 or 2 from MP but I'd be surprised by any more than that.

They'd better play SOMEthing from VT.... it's a totally underplayed album! Vapor Trail, Sweet Miracle, or Ceiling Unlimited would be most welcome! yes.gif

they could play all from VT and none from MP, I'd be fine with that

(understand, this is from the perspective of a fan who's seen every live show in person since 1984...)

Me too. I've got this weird feeling they're going to bust out "Vapor Trail" this time. I'm probably crazy.

Well, I agree, and I've only seen one show. tongue.gif MP is great, but I listen to VT a lot more these days....

True. When I first got into Rush, I listened to MP practically 24/7.... it was my musical go-to. I guess I just got a little burned out on it, but I still think it's a fantastic album, and when I do listen it sounds as good as ever. I just don't feel the urge as often.

That's the point. Rush bringing back a bunch of standards this tour and not much else and thinking they are "deep" cuts. A set like this would be disappointing to say the least.
