Also agree. And Bose is too proprietary -- tough to mix others brands of speakers and subs with their systems.

That's true. One thing I don't like about my speakers is that you have to wire the two front speakers through the subwoofer. That's just screwy.

To be honest, I got my Bose speakers for free (my Mother in law owed us money, she won the speakers in a raffle, and we made a deal). My receiver is a JVC and I've never had any problems with it. All in all, my system sounds pretty dang good to my old ears.

Bose speakers can be very good. Their upper end stuff is very nice, but there are better speakers for the money. I'd put my Definitives up against any comparably price Bose all day.

 

But if someone were to give me a set of 901's for free...I would certainly take them!
