Was hoping they might play Sacramento.
Can't wait for San Jose tho'...looking forward to it!

They haven't played Sacramento in a long time (T4E?), unless you count Sleeptrain Amphitheater.

None of the usual sheds this time, most likely due to the time of year.

Glad it's an indoor show. I like those a lot better.

I moved here about a year ago form the NW. Isn't there an amphitheatre just north of Sacramento? Maybe that's the Sleeptrain you are referring to?

If I remember correctly, they played there on the 1st leg S&A.

Oh well, not too bad of a drive to San Jose and from the reviews I've read, the HP seem like a decent venue.

Yes, Sleeptrain is about 30 miles north of Sacramento. In the middle of nowhere. It is a big shed, like Shoreline or Concord.

Rush used to play at Arco Arena, up until the VT tour.

HP Pavilion is pretty nice. I saw U2 there, but that was a few years ago. I'm going to see Van Halen there in June, so I'll see how it has held up.

Any idea how the floor seats are numbered at HP? Where does seat #1 start for each row?

Not sure if the seating chart will be updated, but right now it appears there are 3 floor sections.

I'm just curious how the seats are numbered, so I have some kind of clue when it's time to buy tickets. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

This date has been chiseled in stone. I'm going!

I wanted to hit the Vegas show as well, but being that it's the day after Thanksgiving, not gonna happen.

I haven't been to an indoor show since the second leg of the S & A tour. I'm very much looking forward to it!

So, The sound is good there? I enjoy outdoor shows because I saw them at Arco Arena and was bummed at the sound quality.

Yes, the sound is very good there. I've seen Elton John, U2 and Rush (Counterparts tour) there, and all sounded very good.

I was in the second row for Elton John, the 17th row for Rush, and nosebleed seats for U2. All were good.

The sound is pretty decent at Sleeptrain. I've seen a lot of shows there, and it's a nice venue. It's just out in the middle of nowhere.

I like indoor ones better because of the sound and visual qualities (Rush usually started in daylight when they played Sleeptrain). And of course no weather issues (I saw Counting Crows at Sleeptrain when it was 114 degrees).

I agree Arco is not a great spot for sound, but others are very good. We saw Rush indoors at the Reno Event Center, and that was great. I've also seen them at the MGM Grand Arena several times, and that is also a great venue.

From what I recall from U2, HP Pavilion sounded very nice indeed.

For sure....

I see that The Tied House I linked is in Mountain View. There used to be one close to The Tank in SJ but it looks like that closed a few years ago...I guess it's been a while since I was in San Jose. I'll ask around to see if anybody knows of a good meet-up place. I'll post here with updates...

Rock on!

Hey guys and girls,

Im looking for any kind of advertisement for the show. There have been countertop standups and posters etc for other shows across the country. If someone could keep their eye out for me I would be in your debt.

Thanks

Robert

We were just there for Van Halen.

The seats run from 1 up from the right, looking at the stage.

So you'll be center section, almost dead center. Slightly toward Alex's side.

We have Section 3, row 2.
