I'll get there early anyways because I'd likely still have a weak grasp on Buffalo's transportation system. So if anyone wants to hang out, I'm game.

Where in Buffalo will you be living? Depending on that, the transportation system may not be too bad for you to get a hang of.

I believe I'll be in the Ellicott Complex

That's at the North campus I believe. All you need to do to get downtown to the arena is take a bus from the north to south campus, then from the south campus you can get on the metro rail that takes you straight downtown.

Alright then. Thanks. Hopefully I'll see you there buddy. Cheers

I'm not hitting the panic button yet since the show is still a ways off, but I was wondering if anyone who purchased their tickets online through the music today presale or any other way online have got their tickets yet? Because I haven't and usually when I get tickets online it doesn't take over a month for them to arrive.

OK, thanks. I'm gonna check junk mail I have sitting around the house first and see if it didn't get mixed in with something and I missed it. If I have no luck there then i'll call them.

MusicToday sends the tickets out a few weeks before the actual show date.

I have ordered from them the last few times for Rush and haven't had an issue getting them on time.

Ok, I guess i'll have to wait a little longer then. It's still pretty odd when tickets go on sale 6 months ahead of time to mail them only a few weeks before the show. I've never experienced that before. Usually within a few weeks of ordering I get the tickets in the mail.

What does First Niagara sound like for concerts? I am really leery of indoor arena concerts since seeing Rush at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City for the VT tour and it sounded absolutely awful.

I saw Foo Fighters there last year and the sound was great. Three years ago I saw Metallica there and once again, the sound was top notch. I've never been to a Rush show that had sound issues. That's one of the benefits of not having an opener and not havng to change equipment around. I have no reason to beileve there will be an issue since every concert i've been to there has sounded good.

Better than most tin cans. I saw Metallica and Yes there back in 1991 and as far as War Memorial Auditoriums it is pretty good. 20 or so years of technology should also help.

Where is everyone staying for hotels this show?  I want to jump on the bandwagon now since I missed out for the Manchester show!

We don't have anywhere booked. We're just totally playing be ear.

I want some good Pre/post parties. I had a blast knocking back a few at the bar with nothing but rush fans!

Ok hotels? Super expensive downtown! UGH, really don't want to go over the $120 mark.... I might play it by ear too. I have a booklet of coupons for hotels you don't reserve ahead of time that are located various exits along the NYS Thruway, might just do that :/ Last time I drove back from Buffalo after a Rush show I nearly fell asleep at the wheel (I'm 3/3.5 hours from Buff)

Just looking at a map, I am seeing two potential bars around the corner: WJ Morrissey Irish Pub (no website...) and Cobblestone Bar: http://www.cobblestonebar.com/
