Just got the notice that my tix shipped.
w00t!

Snaked - Where did you get your tickets through? I received my tickets months ago. Music Today for me.

Looking forward to meeting you in Toronto if possible. I am coming in Saturday morning with four friends. I am the 5th wheel as my wife doesn't dig concert scenes. Are you going to Cleveland show?

I ordered through the MusicToday pre-sale and the tickets arrived either thursday or friday (I was in CBus for the show so not sure which day).

I will probably be in Cleveland as well.

Just have to see how the CC's look after the Toronto trip http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Ha - if you follow this thread, you'll see my seat change.

How the hell did you make THAT happen!?!??! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

I found a numbered seating chart and edited it to make it more accurate http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

(My tix came Friday, nice!)

Just to add to the seating chart, myself and Scottishdude will be left side floor, row 12, seats 5 & 6. We have booked into a cheap and cheerful hotel on Yonge Street. So itinerary will be arrive YYZ from UK, travel to downtown Toronto, throw cases into hotel room and find a good bar. Suggestions welcome folks! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/2.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink38.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/653.gif

This is my first post, so apologies if I muck it up.

Friend and I are flying in from San Francisco.
Totally geeked.

Suggestions for bar and restaurants gladly accepted.

Welcome to TRF! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif

I'm arriving on the 10th and am in the same boat re: places to eat/drink. The Orbit Room is a must but I suppose we'll have to do some exploring beyond that.

My wife and I are driving up somewhere near Niagra Falls on Monday the 8th so we can take the Falls in early on Tuesday the 9th before heading up to Toronto. We're staying at the Rushcon suggested Marriot.

There is so much to see to see and so many places to go. I've gotten a couple tour books so I am not completely clueless on making good use of time. There are a ton of districts that show promise, Chinatown, Harbourfront, Entertainment district, etc. Tons of sightseeing depending on your tastes, Architecture, etc. Lots of promising restaraunts and tons of tours available as well, walking, bus, foodie, whatever.

One day we plan on heading out for a drive in the country to a small town, area, called Picton in Prince Edward County to take in what hopes to be spectacular Fall Foilage. They have tons of antique shops, restaurants and wineries, etc.

Definately hit the Orbit room at some point.

And then RushCon of course.

Just remember the phrase 'I'll have a Jaegerbomb please' !! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

"......a jagerbomb please? " indicates a single drink! Since when did we ever do single ones!!!

My days of Jaegerbombs are long past.
But any other Toronto specific libation, well, since I'm in town...

There is the old staple..... Gin and Tonic! A more sophisticated way to lose your wits 😄😄😄

For those interested, there are several pubs a few minutes from the venue. They are on the Esplanade which is just east of the ACC.

Bier Market (lots of varieties)

Scotland Yard (casual place)

Fionn MacCools (Irish pub)

They all have patios if the weather is nice and have decent pub fare. I generally go to Fionn's before shows at the ACC.
