F**K! I missed the pre-sale yesterday. I didn't even find out about it until I got home from work. They didn't give any notice at all. F**k! F**k! F**k! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/fists%20crying.gif

Yeah, I got the email the day after.

Running in cool weather makes a MASSIVE difference. I ran a half marathon in excruciating heat in Australia in 02h04minutes, but did the Half in Buenos Aires last year during winter - 01h44minutes. October should be excellent to run in Toronto, right?

I saw a Rush sports shirt for sale at the Backstage club, but it had the 2112 cover in it - too dark for running! If only they had one with the GUP cover...

Anyone have hotel reccomdations?

I absolutely love the Sheraton Centre... but it can be pricy.

However you cannot beat the location.

Right on Queen St a 2 minute walk to your choice of 2 different subway stations plus a streetcar right at the front door of the hotel.

Other than that my 2nd choice is the Days Inn on Carlton.. but thats simply due to romantic memories of gigs and games at the old Maple Leaf Gardens.

It is nicely located though right off the Yonge St. subway.

You can get cheaper if you use Hotwire and/or Priceline.

Wait until the RushCon hotel is announced. Stay there!

I value my sleep too much.

Didn't know Rushcon was getting a hotel or deal on one having never been there. I'll wait and see. Thanks for the other reccomendations. I was checking booking.com and some other sites and there seems to be plenty available but I usually hate to stay in the big high rises and prefer to have something with outside access, at least a balcony. Plenty of time to find something though.

Yeah, it will really depend on the weather on what kind of shirt to wear, but October there should be awesome. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

I read some of your posts in the running forum and you are real runner. I am an old guy that likes to run. I've done a couple halfs and 10K's but mostly 5K's and such and just took it up about 3 years ago. I probably average about 20 miles a week, depending.

On ticketmaster (here), does the greyed out areas represent the presale and vip tickets already sold? Or are they waiting to sell these seats in the general sale on the 12th?

I thought presale seats usually weren't that good but I've only been to one other concert (time machine tour).

When it comes to running, I guess the difference between you and me is only age at this point. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wink.gif

I've done a lot of runs, but my timing is far from impressive...I'd say we should at least meet at the starting line and (literally) go from there. The weather will be perfect, and it's a flat course, so it's all good!

My manager has just given me the go ahead to take time off in October, so all I need now is the ticket to the concert. Let's see what can get on Saturday!

Any other takers for this? It would be cool if we had a group running with Rush t-shirts. http://www.torontowaterfrontmarathon.com/en/index.htm

Your guess is as good as mine.

The ticket-buying process is what it is...so we'll have to wait and see I guess. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif

The greyed out area means those tickets are not available for that presale. They will be available for the general public sale and likely additional sections get opened up for today's presales.

Question for you folks familiar with the ACC;

I just got tickets in Section 118. Row 2. Is seat number 1 next to Section 119 or Section 117?

They indicated these are OBSTRUCTED VIEW seats, but I can't see how unless they are considering the railing as an obstruction. Any idea on why they would consider them obstructed? Maybe because we won't have full view of the screens?

Couldn't pass on these tickets!

That seems strange.

IF you got seat 1...then maybe it's against Section 117.

By "obstructed", maybe they just mean you will be looking at the sharp angle to the side of the stage?!

ACC doesn't have any pillars or anything...so I'm not sure how else it would be considered 'obstructed'.

Got tickets today, although the prices are pretty steep this time around, and there was not much range. Instead of prices ranging from 73.50 to 157.50, it seemed the prices were actually either 73.50 OR 157.50. Ended up having to go for the 73.50 tickets because I'm tight on cash this time around. Ended up getting 2 tickets in section 308, but pretty high up at row 15.

Oh well you win some, and you lose some. But at least I'm getting to go see RUSH again!!!! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif
