I hope not

You hope there is no instrumental or not an acoustic one?

I really like Hope. It's not "great" but it was a nice change.

he needed to smoke a joint before writing an acoustic instrumental and he would have gotten something great

If marijuana enhances creativity, why does Jimmy Buffet suck so bad?

I like it, but I can see how people might find it bland.

I always thought it sounded like something off the soundtrack to the TV series Firefly.

When I originally thought about instrumental tracks on this album, I didn't think so much of Alex on his own.... I'm a big fan of the boys instrumental tracks, and hope ( no pun intended ) that we get one on this album.

Hope is an awesome tune. I love it. No machismo. Just raw guitar talent. Many electric guitar players can't write this stuff, let alone play it.

It does also hold a special place since it was the first Rush tune my son learned to play after only 2 and 1/2 years of playing. No coaxing on my part either. no.gif

All this being said, CA was to be an instrumental release. Neil pressured Ged to sing some words he wrote.

Go figure.

First I've heard of that... where was it reported?

That has been going on for quite a few years actually.
