ColdFireYYZ
North American dates have been announced!!!!!!!Form Alcest's Facebook:Joint North American headlining tour with Anathema In September/October 2013 Alcest will take a break from the works on their upcoming fourth album to embark on a double-headlining USA and Canada tour with the masters of atmospheric rock, Anathema. This is what Neige has to say about the tour: "We feel honored to tour with Anathema and Mamiffer. Since years Anathema is making this unique mix of prog and emotional rock. Mamiffer is the post-rock/experimental band of Faith Coloccia and Aaron Turner, talented Isis founding member and founder of Hydra Head Records. Sounds like a diverse and attractive billing! And this will also be the opportunity for us to play a few songs from our next album. See you in a few months!" Show Don't Tell
I've only heard Weather Systems from these guys, but I have to say, it's one of my favourite albums of all time! And I adore Lee's vocals.

Damn, that's a lucky gig. Not sure they will ever make it down to NZ. If they finally offer it up to Australia I'm gonna have to hop the ditch for that one :D-13:

PolarizeMe
From Anathema's Facebook:Due to unavoidable circumstances our usual rhythm section of John and Jamie are unable to join us on this particular tour of America. Our fantastic drummer Daniel Cardoso recommended to us his long term musical partner and best friend Tobel Lopes as bass player for these shows. It sounds amazing and we are really very happy to be here.
ColdFireYYZ
This sucks, but at least Danny, Vincent, and Lee will be there. I think Cardoso has filled in on drums previously, so I'm sure he'll be fine. I wonder who will be playing keys?
PolarizeMe
I was gonna guess that Cardoso will be playing both drums and keys, but then I realize that was gonna be a problem cause he can do only one or the other live. It's anyone's guess at this point, but as soon as people who're going to tonight's show post their reviews online, we'll know for sure.
ColdFireYYZ
My guess is that Vincent and Danny will handle the keys and Cardoso will just play drums. We'll see in several hours!

We'll see in several hours! And you're right! Several fans who went to last night's show said that they both handled keys with Cardoso solely on drums.

PolarizeMe
Tonight's show in NYC is sold out, and if I'm right, the first show on the tour to sell out. I'm standing in line as I type this and will post a write up afterwards.
