Dylan2712
I got this idea when i was looking at the Caravan/Bu2B single cover and thought "damn, i want a clock like that". but it should be one of those musical clocks that plays a bit of a tune every hour. If it would be at all possible to make one, what songs/clips would go good for each hour? 1- 2- BU2B - "Brought up TWO Believe" 3- 4- 5- working man "i get home at five oclock.." 6- 7- working man "well i get up at seven yes," 8- In the Mood "hey baby, its a quarter to eight(actually it is 8,trolololol)" 9- 2112 -this one is a bit of a stretch, i dunno... 10- Force Ten 11- 12- Presto "a dream of a winter garden, a MIDNIGHT rendezvous" my rational is that when you hear a clip of whatever song chimes, you would be reminded of a lyric, or song title that give an illusion to what the time is. songs like working man have a few references, but i'd like to avoid duplicate songs. what do you guys think, if you had a musical rush wall clock what songs would you like to hear each hour? danielmclark
Sure it's possible. Set an alarm on your phone to go off every hour and give it a different song to play as the alarm.

I like your idea (and some of your suggestions are perfect) I think any Rush clock should be a 'different' kind of clock , though- one that doesn't nec. have to chime on the hour so: 1:00 "1-0-0-1-0-0-1, S.O.S." 2:21 "2 to 1, reflection on the water" 3:00 "three travelers, men of Willowdale" 4:00 "all four winds together" 5:00 "well I get home at five o'clock" 6:00 "six stars of the Northern Cross" 7:00 "well I get up at seven, yes" 7:45 "hey baby, its a quarter to eight" 9:12 "2112" 10:00 "rising falling at force ten" 11:00 12:00 a.m."I had a dream of a winter garden, a midnight rendezvous" 12:00 p.m. "YYZ intro (it's 12 notes)" ^ still stumped for a decent 11:00!!! danielmclark
On a somewhat related note, about 15 years ago or so, right after Windows 95 came out, I clipped out a line from Prime Mover and set it to be the sound that plays whenever you boot Windows. So every time I turned on the computer, Geddy would sing "activate the window, watch the world go 'round" to me
Dylan2712
Cygnus X-1 could be 11:00, cause X=10 + 1=11 bit of a stretch. also, Twilight Zone could be 3oclock, "take it off; he's got three eyes". it could also work for four "the fourth dimension is crossed" can't believe i missed ONE little Victory!!! apetersvt
In my mind, I would go by albums (not my favorite tunes for each album but would make good 'alarms') 1:00 Finding My Way 2:00 Anthem 3:00 Bastille Day 4:00 2112 Overture 5:00 Cygnus X! 6:00 Hemispheres Prelude 7:00 TSoR 8:00 Limelight 9:00 The Analog Kid 10:00 Distant Early Warning 11:00 Manhattan Project 12:00 Force Ten
