Foo Fighters - One By One

Yes, FF are the current reigning kings of the guitar riff, that much is certain.

That would be Buckethead by about 60,000 light years...

Then I need to check out some Buckethead...what do you recommend?

There's a LOT, but for pure riffing in hard rock/metal/rock style (not to mention loads of great soloing) look for:

Inbred Mountain

The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock

Crime Slunk Scene

Pepper's Ghost

Decoding the Tomb of Bansheebot

Albino Slug

Slaughterhouse on the Prairie

The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell

Kaleidoscalp

Bucketheadland 2

Wow...I'm jealous! Nothing like discovering somebody this good for the first time! Especially Buckethead who had 100's of albums! LOL

In early 2009, after hearing Treeduck and Tangy talk about him constantly, I looked him up online and gave his stuff a shot. Hooked me immediately. Being a fan of instrumentalists like Satriani, Vai, Eric Johnson, etc., I thought I'd try his stuff out.

So, so good! I own so many of his albums now. Treeduck gave you a fantastic list to start. Just check out some stuff on YouTube too. You'll be hooked asap! 1022.gif

I just happened to be recommending another Buckethead album to Sullysue, this is one you might need too; Deli Creeps - Dawn of the Deli Creeps. This album is Texas Chainsaw Massacre Metal!

Out there somewhere in the universe there's a civilization whose inhabitants communicate purely through guitar riffs... cool10.gif

For some reason this comment made me think of Wyld Stallions.
