Everyone knows that if Geddy doesnt feel his lyrical context or message he wont sing it. People who restrict themselves to a particular ideology are the ones being restrained, the rest either associate with it or move on indifferently. For the most part I'd say at least. Bottom line is some folks are going to have a bitch no matter what. People bitched cuz they wouldn't play 2112 in its entirety. Then they did so people bitched and are still bitching cuz they want Hemispheres in its entirety, Jacobs Ladder, etc. and so on and so forth. I ought to just let these types of posts die as quickly as possible by not responding. However, this one time....... I say they're the best of the older bands still working, at least to my taste and ears. Yes, VH nuts, WAY better than them, better than Bruce (not by much, but then I'm not a Bruce fan so in fairness my opinion is skewed), better than Seger (who I REALLY like), etc. I think both their new records and their live shows are better. Bottom line: as has been already mentioned on this thread by several people, don't buy it and don't listen if you don't think you'll like it. I think I'll like a lot of it though probably not all.
