RUSHHEAD666 Posted December 4, 2011 Share Posted December 4, 2011 I am sure this has been done before but I too will waste Jim's bandwidth and thread about some of the albums from the Sector Boxes. "Signals" from the Sector box is better than the original West German pressing. It's better than the unremastered Japanese pressing. It's better than the MFSL gold version. (although every Rush fan should own this one because of the missing lyrics on "The Weapon.") It's better than the 1997 remaster. Both USA and Japan versions. It's even better than the 2010 Japan SHM version. After hearing the 2011 remaster of "Signals" I have to go with "Losing It." Damn I'm probably "Losing It" anyway. Subs...ALWAYS love it. Kid...An amazing dude and at some point I would have voted for him...but not today. Chems...One of my all time faves (although it doesn't get a lot of love on TRF) an incredible concoction. Digi...I am currently having a mad love affair with this guy...Wait a minute . Weapon...It's the bomb but it has never topped my list. NWM...He's a good guy but he's fool enough and with this poll he'll lose it. Losing...May be winning today...Another untouchable. Count...Again...might be 5, or 4, or 3, or 2...but it won't be won today. I'm thinking the rest have lost it and Losing It wins!!!! My homage to Earl. 1 of the 7 Posted December 4, 2011 Share Posted December 4, 2011 I don't have Sectors, but as it stands now, The Weapon is my fave, followed VERY closely by Subdivisions. The Weapon is not only musically great, it also has that "that is SO true" factor to it, and the subject matter has been very interesting to keep in mind. Subdivisions is also musically fantastic and an excellent portrayal of suburban life, but it didn't give me new insight the way the Weapon has. Signals is one of my favorite rush albums also . as well as my first tour i seen them live. The year leading up to Signals and its release were my Rush discovery years .
