Love this!! Can't go wrong with a movie that plays the WHOLE Court of the Crimson King song in a sequence shot in Battersea Power Station.

Yeah that was very cool! :ebert:

I wanna see this!

The story of a young kid on the road to find his "self", in the company of a bunch of likeable skinheads.

Well, not all of them are likeable. But the kid still knows what's right and what's wrong.

A bleak portrait of Tatcher's era. Hey Duckie, was it really like this?

The Wild Bunch—just got the director's cut which came out I believe after Peckinpah's death. What a GREAT film. The dvd commentary is fantastic. Did you know his last work was directing Julian Lennon in a music vid? FYI

To be honest I find that The Wild Bunch doesn't live up to it's reputation. That cast doesn't seem to have enough dynamism for me, though I like all the actors in other films. The story is pretty thin and it comes over like a rip-off of the Magnificent Seven and Vera Cruz with a little of the Dirty Dozen thrown in. It's starts off well but there's not much to it after that first bank job. The best character is played by Robert Ryan but he's not in the film enough. William Holden doesn't seem entirely comfortable in his role. There's lots of spectacular bridge explosions and shoot-out set pieces but also long periods of sitting around in Mexico not doing a lot.
