invisible airwave
Alien (Theatrical version) Still made me jump a couple of times, still remains in my Top 5 horrors of all time, love it. RIP Harry and John. Fixed.

invisible airwave
^ wha? For John Hurt since he died early this year as well. American Made Tom Cruise is an egotistical jerk but a great actor and this is another good one of his.

Steevo
http://assemble.me/uploads/websites/2015/images/5859aa8fc2bb4.png Outstanding documentary on comedy, consisting of interviews with a fantastic array of comedians. Gonna have to catch up with this soon, thanks!

goose
Man, do I love Malick's stuff. His films can be work to get through, but the payoff is there. Did you like Tree of Life?
EagleMoon
Beautiful Creatures. Kind of a Twilight/Witches of Eastwick sort of movie but not as good as either.

JohnnyBlaze
http://i.ytimg.com/vi/iXRyZp_vz5M/hqdefault.jpg A bit preposterous. A bit predictable. A bit of a waste of Gary Sinise. Should've been better. Grade: C

Didn't feel there was too much danger for the characters though despite all the circumstances. However, I was still interested enough throughout. goose
The Big Chill It has held up very well. For a simple idea - middle-aged friends reunite for a funeral -it has a lot going on. Really a great ensemble cast, and a fantastic soundtrack. Suicide Kings I can watch this Walken performance over and over. A great caper film that's not too violent. Denis Leary is a sleeper standout performance as the fishboot-wearing enforcer.
invisible airwave
Man, do I love Malick's stuff. His films can be work to get through, but the payoff is there. Did you like Tree of Life? Definitely better than what he’s done lately. To The Wonder felt more like a really long perfume ad most of the time.
The Analog Grownup
Interesting, but slower than molasses in January. In spite of the outstanding cast, I had to watch it in chunks due to the deliberate pacing and understated acting. I tried but couldn't get through it. I fall asleep or end up on Youtube instead. That probably says more about me than it does the film.

I thought New World was a miss on his part.

The intro and credits alone were like 15 minutes.

Good call TRFers. It's earnest and experimental. Thoughtful and emotional. Grade: A

Stormtron
Across the Universe for probably the twentieth time. It's my daughter's favorite movie. Now that she's older and usually too cool for her old Dad, I appreciate little things like watching a movie together more. Unpopular opinion, but I love it.
