[as Flux and her compatriot dodge projectiles while doing acrobatics]: Mike Nelson: Okay, little film school lesson: what do we learn by watching this scene? Kevin Murphy: That "The Matrix" ruined movies forever? Mike Nelson: Precisely, thank you.

This is a bit of a poor man's The Deer Hunter, steel mill town, kid comes back from war, russian roulette is changed to bare-knuckle fighting, there's a deer hunting scene, Christian Bale even stops before he kills the deer just like De Niro and so on...

When did Woody Harrelson start playing all these crazy tough guy roles? He seems to do it more and more these days. He whispers a lot in this, in fact everybody in the film seems to whisper all the time, even Forest Whitaker the town cop, it should have been called The Whisperers...

I found this boring, I know the visuals are good but I don't get the amount of acclaim this has received.

I saw The Monuments Men.

Great story. Pretty mediocre film. But the truth behind it all is inspiring.

Fun.

I think these movies are more eye candy than they are substance. :)

Meh.. Been thinking about seeing it. Do multiple of these movies needto exist? Well, they can be fun to watch...

How did you like it?

You´re Next is cool...I though it was what "Purge" was meant to be in terms of scaryness, and it´s quite well done. But you´re right, it´s not really the first movie showing a rich family traped in their own house surrounded by serial killers.

I´m curious about Dear Mr. Gacy now...is it any good?

In light of my low expectations it was definitely watchable which is more I could say about most horror and horror-related films I see (and I watch a lot). I'd give it a 5/10, 6/10 tops. I can't really describe it better than I like the style, and the characters / acting is good. I couldn't really tell you what was bad about it, I just know it certainly wasn't a masterpiece I got invested in.

The protagonist Jason Moss certainly is an interesting fellow - more than pretty much any serial killer could be.

Weird Al Yankovic: See, this is why Spielberg is a genius: he combined a bathroom joke with a lawyer joke. :rfl:
