I bought Exit Stage Left when I was a teenager and listened to it a lot. For reasons I can't really remember, I stopped listening to music much when I went to university and as an adult. I suppose a combination of not being able to transport a stereo system to college, room mates that didn't share my taste in music and later life in general.

On Christmas Day 2013 (the day before my 48th birthday), my 16 year old son bought me The Spirit of Radio compilation. I listened to it and was completely blown away. I don't have the words to describe what an impact it made on me. Since then I have acquired most of their studio album and another copy of Exit Stage Left which is even better than I remember it being. I am close to being completely obsessed with this band's music - so much that at times I question my own sanity. (Having lurked around this forum for a while I appear to be in good company :) )

My Brother got me into Rush, so 2112, A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres were always being played in the house but the first one I went and bought myself was Permanent Waves when it came out.

I remember making my Gran and Grandad go and get me Archives!!

It must of been around my Birthday, what's funnier is that my Gran was always in Debenhams so it probably came from there!

Rock on !!!!! :laughing guy:
