losingit2k
QUOTE (nappy2112 @ Sep 16 2011, 01:58 PM) If there is a tour in 2012, I predict they will open with 2112. That might look like this: Set 1: 2112 Overture/ Temples Red Barchetta New World Man Kid Gloves Middletown Dreams Cut to Chase Jacobs Ladder Where's My Thing? Show Don't Tell Secret Touch Vapor Trials Cold Fire Far Cry YYZ Set 2: Caravan BU2B New Song from CA Instrumental from CA Clockwork Angels Epic The Big Money Lock & Key Countdown Distant Early Warnings MalNar/ Drum Solo Alex's Solo/ A Farewell to Kings Limelight Freewill Xanadu Encore: Subdivisions Tom Sawyer The Spirit of Radio
micgtr71
I have never been disappointed by a setlist per se, but if any of the following were in the 2012 set I would be extremely happy: Chemistry Enemy Within Cut to the Chase Open Secrets Middletown Dreams All well within the vocal range... cameraman2014
I think Presto really worked out for Rush this past tour. They should definitely bring that back. Bravado, Face Up, and Where's My Thing would nice to hear live too.
rugen
the set list will contains songs from the new album and old songs... i hope they play more snake and arrows songs, and brings back songs like jaccobs ladder, territories, the weapon, a farewell to kings, xanadu, and get rid of songs like tom sawyer, limelight, subdivisions, etc.
losingit2k
QUOTE (RUDT @ Oct 30 2011, 05:54 AM) the set list will contains songs from the new album and old songs... i hope they play more snake and arrows songs, and brings back songs like jaccobs ladder, territories, the weapon, a farewell to kings, xanadu, and get rid of songs like tom sawyer, limelight, subdivisions, etc. Out of those, I only see them droping Subdivisions for the next tour! Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio, Limelight, Freewill, YYZ & 2112 are staples at a RUSH Show!
losingit2k
There's a rumour they might consider doing all of 2112 for the next tour! If thats so, I think the set list will look like this: (Considering time restraints) and songs they haven't played Lately & Always Play on Tour) Set1: Far Cry Limelight Analogkid Where's My thing? Cut to the Chase Test for Echo Kid Gloves Middletown Dreams 2112 (Entire) Passage to Bangkok Lessons Tears Something for Nothing Set 2 Caravan BU2B New Song from CA New Instrumental from CA Clockwork Angels (Epic) Lock & Key New World Man Distant Early Warnings MalNar (Drum Solo) Alex's Solo/ A Farewell to Kings Freewill/ Hemispheres (Prelude)/ ByTor & The SnowDog/ Xanadu Encore: The Spirit of Radio Tom Sawyer YYZ/ Cygnus X1 Edited November 7, 2011 by losingit2k
greg2112
I think the only certainty is we get Jacob's Ladder this tour. Other than that, obviously we'll get a major helping of Clockwork Angels and the least amount of overall MP songs in years.
Fred Star
I think they put MP to bed last time. This time however, i'd like to hear 2112 in it's entirity, but it isn't everyones cup of tea, so, for all those fans who dislike this track to ask them to sit through all that would be really unfair..so.. i'll just take the gig as it comes. MULTIPLIED REACTION
My prediction. reani14 will be the first person that starts a thread whining about the set list.
The K Man
The Analog Kid's return to the live set is loooong overdue. And I'd love to see 2112 open the show, but only if the band are playing indoor shows. That song has to be played in the dark. Played outside to open the show, it will still be too bright and it won't be the same.

danielmclark
It'll be 80% the same as every other tour (Tom Saw-yee, Subdivisions, Spirit of Radio, etc), 10% new CA tunes and 10% random vault songs.
losingit2k
I'll take another stab at the beast! Set 1: Far Cry Limelight Analog Kid Kid Gloves Middletown Dreams Where's my thing? Scars
^^^Is this your prediction, your wishlist, or some combination of the two? While we should probably expect a butt-load from CA, I think even Rush wouldn't beat us over the head by opening the second set with 7 CA songs, haha. If I had to take a stab at the 2012 setlist (NOTE: Nothing anywhere near my ideal setlist )... ---------------------------------------------------- Set 1: 2112 (Overture/ToS/Grand Finale) Freewill BU2B YYZ Caravan [CA Song] Show Don't Tell Earthshine Limelight Marathon Leave that Thing Alone Drum Solo Something for Nothing Set 2: Tom Sawyer Distant Early Warning The Twilight Zone [CA Song] [CA Song] [CA Song] One Little Victory Subdivisions Bravado Jacob's Ladder The Spirit of Radio Workin' Them Angels La Villa Strangiato Encore: A Passage to Bangkok Closer to the Heart Working Man ---------------------------------------------------- Edited November 24, 2011 by Scars

Jaminbenb
Personally..I think they'll do SOMETHING with 2112 since it's 100 years beforehand?!?! Maybe they'll get the rust off and do it all again.... I'm guessing most of the normal stuff Tom Saywer Spirit of Radio Far Cry Subdivisions Closer to the Heart etc... I'd also guess a decent amount of the new album because they usually DO when they release something. I don't think you'll see too much more of Moving Pictures, I can almost bet they are tired of most of it by now, but they can't NOT play TS. As per their usual practice, you'll see some thing from the past brushed off...On Neils recent vid, he said that Jacobs Ladder didn't work out, but they wanted to do Between the Wheels and Bravado last tour, so maybe those will get dusted off. Personally I'd love to see Entre Nous and Natural Science brought back into the setlist...anything from PW will be a good thing, as well as maybe something way old and surprising (Beneath Between Behind? Bastille Day? Something for Nothing?) I also think that Working Man is due to get shelved again. Could be fun!!!

After playing "Moving Pictures" all the way through over and over again I think they should shelve all of those songs and inject something fresh and exciting for all to enjoy in 2012. zogoto
First set: 2112: Overture/ Temples Caravan The Enemy Within Limelight CWA Song Xanadu CWA Song Chemistry Driven Cut to the Chase CWA Song Vital Signs Spirit of Radio 2112: Discovery/Presentation Second set: Far Cry CWA Song Force Ten Ghost of a Chance Free Will Prime Mover CWA Song Digital Man Drum Solo Bass solo/Cygnus X-1/Hemispheres Prelude (Instrumental Medley) Brought up to Believe 2112: The Oracle/Soliloquy Encore: Tom Sawyer Something for Nothing A Farewell to Kings/2112: Finale Medley This might be a bit overlong and over ambitious, and also biased towards my prefered albums, but I think breaking up 2112 into several parts would be a very cool idea.
