Analogkid1123
Hey all...I was in a record store in Portland, OR about a year ago and stumbled on this and picked it up. I was wondering if anyone has seen it and is it worth anything? It's called "Everything Your Listeners Wanted to Hear by Rush but you were afraid to play" The Cover Tracklisting Back Cover Let me know!!! kbomb106
Not horribly rare. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everything_Yo..._Afraid_to_Play It was given out to radio stations, but obviously didn't stay there.
Kozmo4Rush
Yes, not rare to the point you'll never see it pop up on occasion. Several collectors have this copy in their vinyl collection. But it is highly desired to the point where I've seen auctions go bid crazy. Excellent find! Enjoy it! (ANALOG RULES!!!! LONG LIVE VINYL!!!) Bastille Dave
QUOTE (Kozmo4Rush @ Jul 13 2011, 04:53 PM) (ANALOG RULES!!!! LONG LIVE VINYL!!!) I agree!! That is kinda cool that the LP has Bacchus Plateau. I've never seen any compilation that has any part of the Fountain Of Lamneth on it.

WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER
Great find! .... Rare or not. I am jealous. I have added Exit....Stage Left and RUSH Through Time to my RUSH vinyl collection since this photo. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz77/tanhuntland/Myvinyl004.jpg
ytserush
I got mine before the internet for $25. It's not insanely rare, but has always been a much talked about piece among collectors for decades. It was one of those rare "collectables" at a time where Rush didn't have too many "cool" things to collect. I think the only other DJ album (other than test pressings, promo albums and singles) that had been pressed before that was the Mercury in-store various artists promo with Fly By Night/Anthem and the short record company bio on the back to promote Fly By Night. ghostworks
welcome to the EYLEWTHBR club, AK! I got my copy way back in the 80's (when $20 was a lot of money for a record with nothing rare on it) like ytse said above, it was one of the only Rush related items with a 'wow' factor at the time - you just didn't come across anything else my favorite thing about it is the back cover copy, which states 'Closer To The Heart' will be the title of the bands 5th LP Edited July 14, 2011 by ghostworks
Motorshooter
That is very cool. I'll have to post an image of the radio promo I have. Side A is two tracks 1. Circumstances 2. The Trees Side B is one track 1. Working Man A friend gave me the disk back in 1980

tontonfranck
I don't want to be the poor guy coming fom nowhere but I must admit: when I found "Hemispheres", "Permanent waves" "moving Pictures" and "Signals" vinyls in my poor hometown, I found my own Holly Graal Edited July 23, 2011 by tontonfranck

Apollo
I regret trading in all my Rush records for CDs back in '89, I have at least bought a few back at used stores over the years. Edited August 8, 2011 by Apollo
fordgt99
QUOTE (sonictheplumber @ Aug 3 2011, 03:42 PM) I only own moving pictures on vinyl I wish I had bought the copy of MP that I found at a record store in Daytona last year. I have not seen one since! While I have not visited every store in the Atlanta area, Rush vinyl has been rare or based on the quality a little overpriced. So far I have: Permanent Waves-2 copies Signals-2 copies Power Windows Fly By Night (Mercury Label) Edited August 8, 2011 by fordgt99
