Hubby and I are going to The Gorge for last show of tour. We are looking for some tips on what to expect. Seats are Sec 101 row 4. From what we can tell, our seats are far from the stage. banghead.gif The Geddy side aisle is even far from the stage! Sec. 102 takes up the entire stage and more.

This show will make #5 this tour (2010-2011) Syracuse, NY , Houston ,CHI-United Center,New Orleans !!!!

What can we expect? What is the venue like? Is Sec. 101 that bad??

Anyone have anything they can tell us (BIG or small) about the Venue.

We are excited and nervous, Rush fans know that feeling !! drool1.gif

TIPS ??? Please

Well, first of all, Section 101, Row 4 is the 4th row back from the stage! Great seats!

Not sure how far back the seats will start but this is where they usually do:

I've been to The Gorge a few times. It's not my favorite venue because it's always hot and dusty but for Rush, I'll deal. Be sure to bring UNOPENED water bottles of one liter or less so you don't have to pay the inflated prices once inside. You WILL want water.

The trip from the parking lot down to the seats is down a rather steep drive but they provide a van to shuttle folks who can't make that walk. If you ask an attendant in the lot, they'll get you to the shuttle pick-up.

The view is the only thing I like about the place. It's also a favorite venue of the band for the same reason:

We're over in 103, Row 15. Hope to see you there!

Been to the Gorge several times... hope the weather is good. It's more or less high desert out there, so from what I've experienced it's usually either dry and hot (and a bit dusty, as mentioned earlier), or it can be quite windy. Anyone who went to see Rush there in '08 can tell you it was windy to the point of making the guys in the band nervous, what with several pieces of overhead equipment swaying in the breeze.

Saw an awesome Rush gig there in '96... 1022.gif

The Gorge is a spectacularly beautiful venue! I went a couple of years ago for the Dave Matthews Band three night stand over the Labor Day weekend.

Downside: It's out in the middle of BFE. It's quite primitive. It's a chemical toilet wonderland. Unless you plan on camping there, hotels are a good 30 to 45 minute drive from the venue.

Book a hotel room well in advance or you will be screwed.

My bud and I will be in 102 row 21, can't wait to see the LAST SHOW ON THIS TOUR! Beautiful venue, sure it's hot/dusty but all in all, one of the best venues in the state of WA. We are camping for the weekend so the party will be ON! RUSH ROCKS!!!

I heard that in Sec 101 IS far right, past the corner even, of the stage Geddy's side. I think Sec 102 takes up the whole stage AND more. Is your seats more toward the seat 1 area or a seat 18 area? Seat 1 is far right !!

when you look at the TICKETMASTER Interactive Beta Map, it shows the aisles on the left and right (separating 101-102-103) to be farther away from the stage. In fact it shows sec 102 covers entire stage and More. wITH 101 & 103 ON THE EDGE OF (CORNER) STAGE!!
