(Never heard of the first) I think I used to watch that on Nickelodeon about 30 years ago and that Thames Production logo was a blast from the past!!! And it is creepy!!! And I just learned that the lead guy was Butch Patrick, who played Eddie Munster on the The Munsters. I didn't know that. Then there's The X-Files. As a kid, they both terrified me, especially the X Files. The show would always come on just as my sisters and I were supposed to be going to bed, and nothing would get us there faster than that theme song. As soon as we heard it playing, if we weren't already on our way to our rooms, we were definitely there by the time it finished playing. Those puppets were frightening! The dead eyes, the large hands... The puppets were from a segment of "Vegetable Soup" called "Outerscope," about a group of kids who build a wooden spaceship in their backyard and then travel to trippy planets and other dimensions. I swear it was meant to put kids into an altered state, maybe existential ennui. In any case, it's a scary little drug trip for a nine-year-old.
