Id known about that fight, but I never saw this clip either, I saw a shorter one. Holy hell with the fighting in the stands!

Apparently Slapshot had some realistic basis!

That's classic! Brings back a lot of memories! I remember that I went to a preseason game at the Montreal Forum around 1977 and there was a bench clearing brawl. Hockey has changed a lot since then! (I was around 10 at the time.)

Its a shame *that* fan fell in. It would have been nice to watch another Flyers fan beat the crap out of Domi. Maybe even a girl.

I recorded that live back then, and had an interview with Domi afterwards and put them both up to Youtube. In 2004, that idiot got his lawyer and cry to youtube for them to take it down.

The guy was a complete moron. Being who he was (Domi would have been a life long folk hero had he played in Phila) - we naturally preferred he get his ass kicked. smile.gif

Does Montreal need tourists or something? Oh wait, they do. They have an ad on Versus all the time. Apparently, they figure they can make headlines more each time another Canadien link writes something about the Chara incident.

You keep on bashing Montreal! This article is about Canadian national companies who are sponsors of the NHL and their views on the subject.

We get the fact that you hate Montreal but hate mongering does not benefit anyone!

Also, check this out if Montreal is so Horrible!

NHL Player's Poll

The reason he brought this up is because both Via Rail and Air Canada are corporations based out of Montreal, and both of them are threatening to pull sponsorship because of this incident. Coincidence? confused13.gif

Actually, Via never threatened to pull out. They only expressed their opinions of the matter. I was trying to let him know that enough is enough.

He has put down all the people in Montreal more than once.

Don Cherry is 100% for the decision and blames the arena setup, FWIW. I can youtube it for those who want to see it.

and yes, show vid...

I saw it, nasty hit.. but not sure he meant to take his head off.
