You may end up with a black screen because the material is copyrighted and won't let you take screen caps with the Print Screen on your keyboard. What I do is play the DVD in my VLC media player, the one with the orange cone as an icon, and do what's called a "Snapshot." It's under "Video" in the main menu. Well you see, these aren't actual "captures" in the sense of watching a DVD on my computer and grabbing the screen. What I do is put on the Blu-Ray DVD and hit pause when I see something I like. Step a few frames if need be and then I.... take a digital picture! Really. The Blu-Rays make such beautiful freeze frames that I can just snap a pic. I then do a trim and a few adjustments if need be in a photo program and... voila! Not perfect by any means but acceptable. The pic of him peering over his sunglasses is very Geddy-like, indeed. It makes my Neil-temptation even worse, since I love it when Geddy does that. They're both working their charm on me. With that look, he reminds me of a character from a 70s TV show that was a couple decades than Neil at the time. A character whose personality and interests are nothing like Neil's. A character that would not like Rush because Rush is waaaaaay too intellectual for him. Yet Neil is reminding me of him. For those of you who are wondering who this character is, it would be Don Ramon from El Chavo del Ocho. Unfortunately. as you can tell, i do love the mustache. and i generally do NOT like guys with mustaches! but i love the look of all the Rush boys during this era, because it's so over-the-top 70s, and they are all in their 20s and enjoying the whole first wave of success. and neil is so downright lanky. this is also the "first Rush" i remember... it was 1977 and i was in an 11-year-old 7th grader, moving up to the big high school building with all of the older kids. one of the seniors had a locker next to me, and she opened it up and had this 2112-era Rush poster plastered inside... and i remember sneaking a sideways look at it every time she opened that locker. He looks so adorable there. You could just go over and give him a hug. I don't really mind the handlebar mustache. But it does remind me of a scene from That 70s Show.
