It was very deliberate. I even went so far as to visit the DMV a second time, wait in line 20 minutes and pay $18 to get a second sticker...I lied and said the first had been lost. I snipped out the "1" on official State of CA expiration sticker stock and stuck it over the "0" to get the date you see in the photo. Besides, if I do get heat from John Q. Law, I can just peel off the extra digit to reveal the original 0 underneath...no harm, no foul, right? By letter of the law, I'm probably breaking a law, but by the spirit of it, I gotta be good... I'm actually surprised that more of us Rush nuts haven't resorted to the same thing. I'm pretty sure that very few of us will be around when the official 2112 registration stickers are issued, so I figured, might as well make hay while the sun is shining, eh? It's a few minutes out of a day and $18 for the sticker. As long as my optimistic belief in the good nature of local law enforcement holds true, it was well worth the effort and few extra $$$ for the novelty of it. NOW, I must decide how to affix the 2013 decal come next April...there is NO way I can cover the 2112 decal now that it's there...right?
