it's nice and low(just enough to avoid any fret buzz) and the neck plays like a dream! It's one very lucky find(imo)!!!! yes.gif

Cool - congrats to ya. I also like the Kahler Tremolo - got it on my Kramer Pacer and it is exactly how I like my trem, which I use a good bit.

yeah, I gotta say the Kahler is nice to use. Used to use the Floyd Rose system before that on a strat I have, but the kahler is so much easier to use. Plus no tools required to change a string is a big plus!

analogalex - congrats on new guitar! that looks really nice, never heard of those before. love the finish!

thanks mortkort. But no, unless you're a fan of Martin Taylor(jazz guitarist) I wouldn't expect many people outside the UK to know the name.... I didn't even know of Mike Vanden till I found this guitar in my local guitar shop lol

very nice rig... bet that took a while to accumulate!

Oh yeah. That is quite the understatement. Piece by piece though it was well worth it all. Our first show went off this Saturday without too many hitches and the thing sounded AWESOME! One down and 6 to go.

i got this epi goldtop last friday, p90s ftw! i thought it was gonna weigh a ton but it isnt heavy at all, in my opinion. my old guitar teacher had a gibson les paul standard i think and that thing was frickin' heavy, im glad this epi isnt that heavy. the stock pickups sounds excellent, no need to replace them. here are some photos.

Hi mort; great guitar! In your opinion, how do two P90 compare to humbuckers?

thanks! well it can give you a nice singlecoil clean sound, if you add some dirt itll get that awesome p90 growl. but if you roll back on the tone knob you get closer to a humbucker sound, at least thats what i think.

thank you, mrbarlint! i was more of a humbucker guy before, but im starting to get into singlecoils and p90s, but its nice to have a guitar with humbuckers around too.

btw, i envy your howard roberts fusion!!

I'm thinking about getting this guitar, Ibanez ORM 1L (signature of The Mars Volta's Omar Rodrigez)

looks pretty sweet!

I like it yes.gif

I use a HSS strat with a floyd rose trem at the moment for drop D tuning and I really like it. Used to be main guitar, and in standard tuning till a few weeks ago.

But yeah it looks cool in the white without the P/G and the "Strat" headstock cool.gif

Nice axe....

I had a shot of a friends one once, and I really liked the feel of it.

Anyway, Angus Young and Tony Iommi can't be wrong wink.gif

I agree with the other statements, a lovely looking guitar there!

I've been saving up for one for 5 years, but I'm still nowhere near the target. One day I will, even if I do look like Angus Young as he is now when I do get it.
