It's one very lucky find(imo)!!!! Cool - congrats to ya. I also like the Kahler Tremolo - got it on my Kramer Pacer and it is exactly how I like my trem, which I use a good bit. AnalogAlex
yeah, I gotta say the Kahler is nice to use. Used to use the Floyd Rose system before that on a strat I have, but the kahler is so much easier to use. Plus no tools required to change a string is a big plus! But no, unless you're a fan of Martin Taylor(jazz guitarist) I wouldn't expect many people outside the UK to know the name.... I didn't even know of Mike Vanden till I found this guitar in my local guitar shop lol

That is quite the understatement. Piece by piece though it was well worth it all. Our first show went off this Saturday without too many hitches and the thing sounded AWESOME! One down and 6 to go. mortkort
i got this epi goldtop last friday, p90s ftw! i thought it was gonna weigh a ton but it isnt heavy at all, in my opinion. my old guitar teacher had a gibson les paul standard i think and that thing was frickin' heavy, im glad this epi isnt that heavy. the stock pickups sounds excellent, no need to replace them. here are some photos. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/mortenmat/Guitars/DSC_0970.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/mortenmat/Guitars/DSC_0972.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r113/mortenmat/Guitars/DSC_0980.jpg

mortkort
QUOTE (Soni @ Oct 23 2008, 11:16 PM) Hi mort; great guitar! In your opinion, how do two P90 compare to humbuckers? thanks! well it can give you a nice singlecoil clean sound, if you add some dirt itll get that awesome p90 growl. but if you roll back on the tone knob you get closer to a humbucker sound, at least thats what i think. mrbarlint
Hi Mortkort, I'm not much of a P90 guy, but that is one sexy looking guitar!!! Congrats and enjoy the heck out of it.
mortkort
thank you, mrbarlint! i was more of a humbucker guy before, but im starting to get into singlecoils and p90s, but its nice to have a guitar with humbuckers around too. btw, i envy your howard roberts fusion!! AnalogAlex
I like it I use a HSS strat with a floyd rose trem at the moment for drop D tuning and I really like it. Used to be main guitar, and in standard tuning till a few weeks ago. But yeah it looks cool in the white without the P/G and the "Strat" headstock

I've been saving up for one for 5 years, but I'm still nowhere near the target. One day I will, even if I do look like Angus Young as he is now when I do get it.
