Thanks! I usually don't have it set up like that at home, I usually have my Simmons pads set up behind it and some of the cymbals back there..to change my pace...I also have a 6 & 8 concert toms for when my friends stop by to jam some Rush tunes. I just yank the 12" splash and shove 'em in there

It's pretty modular, as far as I'm concerned... I set it up with everything to "work out" or only take parts of it if I'm gigging. (usually a snare bass 10, 12, 13 and a hand full of cymbals) I don't think I've ever actually had it set up in that configuration to perform (kind of overkill for blues! hahaha!)

At any rate, it keeps the neighbors on their toes!

Sorry man, I'll stick to my tried and true Zildjians! The Paragons are nice, but I don't see the need to change!

Actually the kick drum head is fairly new. The "patch" is a cut up old "Duraline" head (the first generation kevlar) I got a bunch when a high school band I taught (years back) received a full set to try them out in a marching situation...needless to say we didn't like them, so we sent our "review" back and they let us keep them...(they ended up in a box in my basement) Since they basically sucked for anything else, I figured that they would be good patches so...I cut out a square, taped it down with duct tape. It's held up fairly well!

I've never actually used the whole thing out, as I said in another post, that's just how it ended up the last time I set it up. I've only taken parts out for gigging.

If I got into a prog band, I would probably schlepp it all out, but it's a bit overkill for Blues gigs!

Anyway..thanks for the warm welcome, great to be here!

I would like to post a pic of my kit on here but i don't know who to can someone help me out please 2.gif

First of all, do you have some pictures of it saved on your computer?

If you do, you need to get a photo image hosting account. You can get one at www.photobucket.com. After you do that, then you upload the picture to there. Once that's doen, you copy the bottom link they give you (the one with the thing at the front of it). Then just paste that when you're ready to post...

BTW, Nice kit cygnus. A little too much like Neil's for my tastes, but nice.

My kit is a crappy kit by some unheard of company CB, but it is better than nothing. I have gone from The Beatles to RUSH and The Who in the past 5 years and all modesty aside, I consider myself good. Here is my set up.

9X12 Tom

10X13 Tom

16X16 Floor Tom

8X14 Snare w/ metal shell

6X14 Alternate snare-pearl (used as high pitched tom, 8 or 10 inch)

18X22 Bass Drum

14 inch Sabian AAX fast hat

17 inch Zildjian A custom projection crash

18 inch Zildjian Z custom rock crash

20 inch Sabian XS ride

I plan to eventually get a Drum Workshop and convert my cymbals to Zildjians. I want my set-up to look like:

8 inch Piccalo Tom

10 inch Piccalo Tom

12 inch Piccalo Tom

7X8 Fast Tom

7X10 Fast Tom

8X12 Fast Tom

9X13 Fast Tom

10X14 Fast tom

11X15 Fast tom

13X16 Fast Floor Tom

14X18 Fast Floor Tom

21 inch Gong Drum

23 inch Gong Drum

6X14 edge snare drum

5X12 Alternate Maple Snare Drum

18X22 Bass Drum

18X22 Bass Drum

8 inch Zildjian K custom dark splash

10 inch Zildjian K custom dark splash

14 inch Zildjian A custom mastersound Hi Hats

16 inch Zildjian A custom fast crash

16 inch Zildjan FX classic china

17 inch Zildjian A custom projection crash

18 inch Zildjan A custom china

18 inch Zildjian Z custom rock crash

19 inch Zildjian A custom menium crash
