snowdogged
I watched the Habs vs. Senators on TSN last night and at one of the intermissions they were discussing Montreal's rookie defenceman P.K. Subban. Just so you know, Subban is black. Subban is a very in your face, cocky player, especially for a rookie! A lot of players in the league already don't like him. One of the commentators started comparing another good rookie defenceman to Subban. Pretty much saying that this other player played with class. Then he said "The White way, the right way." He then later apologized for his mistake. My quote, may not be exactly right. There is a problem with my sound right now. Here is a link to the video. g under p
It's an unfortunate slip of the tongue by Pang on Subban but with a growing number of black players around 25-30 in the NHL announcers will have to watch their tongue.
blackhawkrush
Pang clearly wanted to say "right" not "white." This is a "bullshit" thread.

alphseeker
I listened to the video and this is just a lot to do about nothing - I hear nhl and nfl analysts speak too fast and always screw up their words sometimes getting two words in a row mixed up - the fact that it was the words white and right is merely coincidence and nothing more - as all the good analyst do he was already thinking of the word "way" and subconsciously he put the W in front of right big fricking deal -
barney_rebel
http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d...?urn=nhl-293027 Agreed this is a waste of a discussion. He apologized anyways. Move on.

I was just sharing this because I saw it live and got a bit of a chuckle out of it when it happened. Some people seem to be reading more into this thread than what it is about. It's just a mistake that he made that I found a bit humorous. That is all! I just thought some other people might find It a little funny also. Happy holidays everyone!
