It's late night on The Rush Forum and I just popped in "The Big 4" on Blu-Ray!

Could be a long night or a short night for me.

Not big on Anthrax or Slayer but I love Megadeth and Metallica.

Which band do you love the most?

History has been made and I respect that.

I remember driving up to Marysville to see Judas Priest when Slayer opened.

I didn't waste my time going in to see Slayer play.

I'm sure I should regret that right?

I do love "Reign In Blood" but that's about it.

I do own that live "Reign In Blood" dvd because I love the end when it really starts to rain blood.

Classic shit.

I have to go with Metallica even though Dave wrote all of "KILL 'EM ALL!"

Mustaine is an underrated genius.

Signed,

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! I really think that Mustaine's impact to the band was greatly exaggerated. He wrote Mechaniz (aka Four Horsemen), Jump In The Fire, Metal Militia, and Phantom Lord.

The dude is a genius, but for Megadeth only.

I love all these bands except for Anthrax, but Metallica is easily the most influential to me and really became the first band I truly loved.

METALLICA for sure!!! Not to say the others don't kick ass as well, I just haven't listened to them as much.

Metallica. They're the band that got me into the metal genre. I also love Megadeth and Anthrax to. I've never quite got that into Slayer as much. They're good and they're legends but whenever i've tried to get into them something just doesn't click for me confused13.gif

Of those, my answer is easily Metallica.

Maybe they're not as hard and heavy as the others, but they at least have some MELODY in addition to the hardness.

Metallica was good for a few years. I might have even claimed them as a favorite band for a brief amount of time. But, Megadeth has the long burn thing going for them. When everyone else was quitting or limping out in the mid '90's, they kept on. they rocked in '85, and they still rock. 1022.gif

I was listening to some early Slayer in the El camino earlier today, though... hard to beat shear raw aggression.

Megadeth for me.

Holy shit you fuckking heavy metal maniacs!

I am watching disc two tonight and it's ALL METALLICA!!

These guys are on FIRE! Guess I missed the SLAYER footage.

Robert Trujillo is fuckkkking a great bassist. Makes Newsted look like JASON OLD-DEAD!

I passed on Metallica last tour. Shame on me.

These local Bay Area Pinole guys are REBORN!

My wife is sick with a bad cold on the couch and I am headbanging!

Life isn't fair!

I feel like an 18 year old again!

LONG LIVE THE LEGACY OF CLIFF BURTON!!!!!

FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS!!

TIME MARCHES ON!

In retrospect maybe that album "St. Anger" was meant to be made, because it was a wake up call to get off the fuckking drugs and get back to the real METAL!

To think I actually checked out Jason Newsted's groceries back in the early Nineties in Alamo Ca. when I worked at Safeway. He was just a normal, mellow guy who drove a black 4Runner.

Quite the actor on stage eh?

Aren't they all? "ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE!"

Kirk is fukking underrated. He is killingn it on this Blu-Ray disc!

KILL EM ALL!

This post has been brought to you by the letter "F!"

Hey Steve!

Long time no type!

Watching the Metallica portion of this incredible show right now.

I am blown away and as you know I am not a big Slayer fan at all.

I think it was the Priest "Angel Of Retribution" Tour.

It was and "offshoot" show. By that I mean Priest was on the OZZFEST Tour I think, but don't quote me on that.

Priest and Slayer met up and went up north by Sacramento Ca to do a side show.

Priest killed it that night. I had a few beers in the parking lot with my buddy during Slayer. They annoyed me still from a far distance.

They have a great drummer though that's all I know.

No one can play that fast. FUKK!

How do I go from having an ABBA night to a BIG 4 Night?

I'm either fukked up beyond all belief or just a guy who loves music beyond all belief.

Does that make sense?

Megadeth for me.

This concert Blu-Ray is off the charts!

All four bands were out on the stage together covering "AM I EVIL" by DIAMOND HEAD!

Incredible!

Fukking Lars gave Dave Mustaine a big hug on the stage!

This concert is an EPIC SUCCESS!

NO FAIL HERE! 1022.gif
