QUOTE (tjtull @ Oct 13 2010, 03:41 AM)
"When I leave I don't know what I'm hoping to find and when I leave I don't know what I'm leaving behind."

Same as what my bro used 25 years ago when the song was already a few years old.

I'd go with:

Stay! Go!

Work! No!

Learn! Live!

Earn! Give!

Stay or fight? What's right?

Listen!

For a yearbook quote, I can't think of a better lyric than the one from Analog Kid

Yeah i would say that line from analog kid is pretty amazing. Time stands still is very fitting, as well.

Agreed.

"You know we're having good days and I hope they're going to last

Our future still looks brighter than our past"

"Sweet memories flashing very quickly by

Reminding me and giving me a reason why

I know that my goal is more than a thought

I'll be there when I teach what I've been taught"

"Even when I am grey I'll still be grey my way" laugh.gif 1022.gif

Used one as my senior quote last year. I think it was from Turn The Page. Everybody I asked thought it was good. If you look at the lyrics it's very obvious which lines it is.

Other than the ones I posted, possibly "we disengage, we turn the page".

A quote I use on my facebook page is "today is different and tomorrow the same".

"The point of a journey is not to arrive. anything can happen."

and of course:

"dreams don't need to have motion to keep their spark alive, obsession has to have action, pride turns on the drive"

Thanks for all the help guys, I decided to go with one from Marathon: You can do a lot in a lifetime, if you don't burn out to fast. You can make the most of the distance; first you need endurance, first you gotta last. -Neil Peart biggrin.gif

I'm a senior in high school right now, and my school asks every student for a quote to put next to their picture in the yearbook. Obviously, I want my quote to be from a Rush song. Any ideas for some epic quotes that would be good for my yearbook? Thanks.

Sweet Jamaican pipe dreams

Golden Acapulco nights

Then Morocco, and the East,

Fly by morning light

You can't get something for nothing

You can't get freedom for free

You won't get wise with the sleep still in your eyes

No matter what your dream might be

My friend's was:

Growing up, it all seems so one-sided;

Opinions all provided,

The future pre-decided

Mine was:

Because he was human,

Because he had goodness,

Because he was moral,

They called him insane. - G. Lee

I thought mine said something about me. It was 1986.

I strongly considered "Life is just a candle, and a dream must give it flame"

Though instead of opting with Rush, I just went with P-Funk: "Put a glide in your stride, and a dip in your hip, and come on up to the mothership."

I almost used a Rush quote in my yearbook, but I found something infinitely better at the last second. Anyways, I was either going to use one of these:

Marathon:

"From first to last, weak is never fast. Something always fires the light that gets in your eyes."

Spirit of Radio (simply because it's one of my favorite lines in any Rush song):

"One likes to believe in the freedom of music, but glittering prizes and endless comprimises shatter the illusion of integrity."

I think there was another, but I can't remember. Subdivisions also has some good lines.

It's actually "From first to last, the peak is never passed..."

Kinda changes the meaning from what you thought, eh?
