HowItIs
QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Feb 5 2011, 04:29 PM)QUOTE (HowItIs @ Feb 5 2011, 05:59 PM) I do it fairly often. Last night, I dreamt about the life of a baseball player. I'm not a baseball fan but, there it was - his whole story, with details and little incidents and family/friends.... Sometimes I wonder if my mind travels to other dimensions or realities while I'm asleep. I'm fascinated with string theory and stacked dimensions and so forth. Some very interesting stuff, there. A bit mind-blowing, though! Are you, by any chance, a believer in past lives? Sure am! But what with string theory and all, time might not be linear so... parallel lives are a possibility, too. Whatever it actually IS I have had several experiences. I take it that you do, too?

1 of the 7
I had one last night, but I could barely remember it when I woke up...the only thing I remember is that it didn't have the guys themselves in it, it was more like I was reading something about them or looking at pics or albums or some such...maybe I'll go back to it tonight! 1 of the 7
This time I had a Rush dream as part of a larger dream where I was sewing a stuffed animal and ended up putting his legs on backwards! But I digress. A bunch of people were gathered, and I think Geddy and Alex were there, but I distinctly remember my boyfriend giving Neil a copy of an album by a band we followed heavily before I got into Rush. Neil took it from him and said "Thanks" with a tone of "sure, whatever". I think my boyfriend's telling me he doesn't like Rush as much as the other band the other day had something to do with it. 1 of the 7
And another one - a few nights ago I dreamt that Tom Sawyer was a game. I was playing a character in it, and Geddy another minor character. The game had nothing to do with the book or the song, however, and was populated by people I didn't know at all. Weird... 21xanadu12
I had a dream that I kissed Geddy. Best dream of my life. I swear, every time I have a dream about that man I think I can feel him. In most dreams I don't feel anything. But anyways, it was sundown and there was no such thing as ground. Geddy was lying-floating-on his back with an arm behind his head, propping it up. He was wearing a sweater like the one he wore on My Favorite Headache, except this one was yellow with a black band around the elbow. He was smiling at me, and I leaned over and kissed him. It was amazing.
different.hearts
Last night I dreamt I was at a Rush concert on the Grand Canyon on the edge of a cliff. It really wasn't very safe, but it was awesome. So anyway, Alex got kind of eaten up by this plane...transformer...thing... and it was black and yellow and large and it kind of opened and closed like a drawstring bag, i guess you could say? Anyway, Alex got in it and it crashed. And we were just about to find out if he was alive or not, and then my dad woke me up.

NobodysHeroine
You know what's epic? Both of my parents had Geddy dreams! My mum's dream was of her in some building trying to get away from this huge group of people in the hallway. She entered a room and Geddy was in there. But that's all she remembers. Aw, man. My dad's dream was epic. He works for a tow truck company and ran into Geddy's tour bus, which had broken down. The bus was leaving Toledo, Ohio and heading back to Canada. He couldn't fix the bus and somehow talked Geddy into getting into his truck and going to our house. Geddy just had to meet his #1 female fan. My dad woke me up and I looked horrible: hair messy, groggy, still half-asleep. That's where it ended. My dad said that he was looking out for me in his dreams. How awesome is that? My Geddy fangirldom has made its way into my parents' dreams.

2112Oracle
I had one two nights ago....I don't know where this sudden burst of Rush dreams are coming up from. *Shushes Kahme* I know what I said. Anyways...back to the dream... I was at a performing arts hall in some city, for an Acoustic Night with Rush performance. And as I found my seat, I looked at the stage. There were two chairs, two microphones, and a much smaller than usual Neil-esque drumset. I thought to myself, "this will be interesting." I sat down in my seat, which was about 5 or 6 rows from the stage. I looked around and found a couple of my Rushian friends from school. I waved at them and they did the same with me. About 10 minutes later, all of the attendees were inside, and in their seats. I looked behind me and saw a great friend of mine, Kahme. (Yes, Earthshine, you were in my dream.) We talked for five minutes before the show officially started. Geddy and Alex walked to the chairs with their instruments and Neil sat behind his smaller drumset. Everyone rose and cheered. I looked at Geddy and felt my heartbeat rise. Kahme leaned over to me and said, "oh...my...Ged..." I nodded in agreement. Everyone then sat down. They started off with an acoustic version of "Closer to the Heart", which was beautiful. Geddy sang it so romantically, I could feel my eyes filling with tears. Strangely enough, "Tears" was the next song. Alex started to play the opening and Geddy grabbed a wireless microphone and walked off the stage and into the crowd. "A lifetime of questions, tears on your cheek..." he sang as he came over to me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it from my first knuckle, half way up my hand. I felt my breathing harden and tears fell from my eyes. "I tasted the answers and my body was weak." He sang, wiping the tears away. He hugged me, singing, "For you, the truth." He kissed me and walked away with tears in his eyes. That's when I just had to wake up. If that were to really happen, I don't know what I'd do. Ged, I feel all emotional just thinking of it.

But you never know with them. They might bring back an older song that has not been played live in its entirety for many years, like "The Camera Eye" or "2112," or a song that has not been played live at all. I really want them to bring back the acoustic version of "Resist," as well as "The Pass" and "Nobody's Hero."

NobodysHeroine
I had a Rush dream just this morning! Finally, a real, semi-normal Rush dream! The majority of it I can't remember, but the later half of it was of me backstage with Geddy as his bass tech. The band was performing at my homestate of Michigan, I'm assuming at my April 17 show at The Palace. I stood backstage and swooned over Geddy the whole show. At the end, Geddy and I were chatting. Alex walked backstage and said something humorous, as he usually does, before leaving with Neil. I rolled my eyes and said, "Oh, Ged." Geddy looked at me, his eyebrow raised, and I said, "Instead of 'Oh, God,' I say, Oh, Ged.'" He smiled and laughed at that. I sighed and said, "Why does everyone laugh when I say that? Even you? My Ged." He laughed even more, which I didn't mind. Of course not -- I love that laugh. He then escorted me to the stage exit, where my dad was waiting. I asked Geddy for a hug and we embraced. I couldn't bring myself to let go (what Geddy girl would? ). After a long moment, I said, my voice trembling, "This may be the very last time I get this opportunity, so I'll enjoy it as much as I can." He chuckled softly and said, "Don't you worry," and continued to hug me. That's when it ended. I didn't faint once! I'm proud of myself. Really, I have no idea what provoked this Rush dream. My dreams are very random. Maybe I just got a Rush dream this time? Whatever the cause, it was epic! I hugged Geddy!!!
CMWriter
Why can't I have any of your NICE dreams?! D; Seriously, ladies. I finally had a sort of Rush-related dream, and once more, it was very bizarre. So, last night I finally saw Schindler's List (not for the weak-hearted but certainly a must-see) so of course I was thinking of Geddy and how his parents were Holocaust survivors. But my dream was so strange, because I dreamt I was in Krakow (the camp) and I saw Geddy Lee riding by on a bicycle while I was shoveling. I think I just stared in shock for several seconds, then yelled something like, "Hey, wait!" Then he was gone. It was truly strange and kind of chilling. That's all I remember, though. 1 of the 7
Last night I dreamt I was listening very closely to a Rush song, and noticed that Geddy was saying something very quietly in the fade out. When I turned it up, I was surprised to hear him saying something profane (I don't remember it exactly, but I think it had something to do with telling someone to eff off)! I then found myself talking to Geddy (!) and asking him about those few lines. He got kind of embarrassed and laughed it off, but didn't really go into any details. So, we can use our imaginations

On TheRoad To Adventure
I never seem to have any nice dreams about Rush. They all seem to be bad dreams. I remember one where I dreamt that I met Geddy's wife and mother somewhere and they invited me to their house. I was having a nice visit with them. (They didn't know I was a Rush fan.) Suddenly Geddy came into the room and saw me. He seemed to know right away that I was a fan and accused me of using his family to get to him. It was so important to me that they know I wouldn't do that, but no one believed me! Everyone was angry at me. The women felt betrayed and they were angry too. What a nightmare! I was so relieved to wake up and realize it wasn't true.
