Looks like its going to be pretty damn cold,

Not as bad as the "Ice Bowl" but still chilly.

:codger:

It's gonna be WAY warmer on Sun than it is here today... and the next couple days. This morning it was -8 driving in with a WC around -30, high of 2 in Milwaukee on Wed

The forecast I saw was a high of twenty degrees for Sunday. Either way the game will be on before I have to work. This will bring back some great memories of the good ole' days. :D

In a playoff game of epic proportions, the Green Bay Packers took several major league punches from Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys....and did not fall. Not only did they not fall, but they also countered with several haymakers themselves. They beat the Cowboys with the hobbled-yet-still-amazing Aaron Rodgers, the pounding running of Eddie Lacy, a never-say-die playmaking defense, and a fabulous performance by rookie WR Davante Adams.

Joe Montana may have been rightfully deemed "Joe Cool", but Aaron Rodgers is quickly earning his legendary status as "The Man Who Said RELAX". Even when he's injured, he's calm, cool, calculating, and always ready to torch a defense.

Next Up: The NFC Championship Game, against yet another mighty opponent - the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. Win or lose, Aaron Rodgers and his tough, battle tested Packers will give the cocky Seahawks all they can handle.

Congratulations Packers and good luck next week.

Thanks, I think they might need all the luck they can get.

One thing that looked promising was Rodgers' mobility. He seemed to feel a little more confident as he broke the pocket a little bit as the game went on. Especially in the 4th.

One thing that worries me is the personal fouls. The game was chippy, and as frustrating as the Seahawks D can be, I can see Packers players losing their patience if they can't move the ball as easily as they want.

The flag on Lang was HUGE. Three Cowboys were still manhandling Davante Adams, even though the whistle was blowing. Lang did what any good O-lineman should do - come in and protect his teammate. If the defense is going to keep tackling, then the offense should keep blocking. But Lang came in really fast and hard, and attracted attention to himself. That's what drew the flag.

It was a key play, because it killed a good touchdown drive. Instead of a 3rd & 1 from the Dallas 7, it was 3rd & 16 from the 22. They had to kick a field goal.

Pro Football Writers of America - 2014 NFL Most Valuable Player Awards goes to AARON RODGERS

[The Green Bay Press-Gazette] Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFL's most valuable player by the Pro Football Writers of America on Wednesday, the first of what could be multiple MVP honors.

Rodgers had one of his finest seasons in 2014, passing for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns and a league-low five interceptions while leading Green Bay to its fourth straight NFC North title. The Packers finished the regular-season 12-4 with the No. 2 seed in the NFC, and will travel to Seattle for the NFC championship game on Sunday.

His efficiency was especially remarkable this season. Rodgers twice went at least five straight games without throwing an interception. Inside Lambeau Field, he finished the season with 25 touchdown passes and no picks. He has no gone more than two years -- and more than 500 passing attempts without throwing an interception at home.

Rodgers is seen as the frontrunner to win his second MVP award from the Associated Press, following his first league MVP trophy in 2011. The AP will announce its MVP on Jan. 31.

Sounds like they are keeping a wrap on it. Rodgers says it was worse, McCarthy says he's doing better... I assume they are trying to keep things grey to not tip their hat when it comes to the game on Sunday

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2015/01/14/aaron-rodgers-calf-injury-nfc-championship-seahawks/21780459/

With everyone wondering how in the world he'd be able to walk, let alone play in this Sunday's NFC Championship, Rodgers said his aching left calf would be good for another "120 minutes" of football — which just so happens to be the equivalent of the game in Seattle and the Super Bowl.

Small statements, perhaps. But they speak volumes.

Asked if he had any doubts that his calf would hold up for those 120 minutes he's promised, a small smirk played at the corner of Rodgers' mouth.

"No," he said. "I just hope we don't go to overtime."

The running game and offensive line will need to take it to the next level on Sunday.

If they can play like they have the last few weeks, it shouldn't be too bad. They ran the ball down Detroit's throat and Detroit has a better Rushing defense than Seattle. I think it will all come down to which Packers' D shows up and turnovers.

Right after the game, they said that it was pretty much the same. No better or worse. It's gonna takes several weeks - even a month or two - for it to heal fully.

If they beat Seattle, it should heal some more in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. He might be more agile then......here's hoping he gets to find out!

So I tell you give up this ludicrous play-off run, this doomed attempt at a Super Bowl with your gimpy QB who is always injured.
