I call bullshit ... if I was to suffer the atrocities that you fabricated, I sure as to hell wouldn't beg for mercy at the forum of the band who's concert you attended ... I would have called a good lawyer who isn't a Rush fan wink.gif , and then anyone who cares could read it on TMZ or whatever else is current in the "give me some f***ing attention" industry. bekloppt.gif

But... at one point she was asking if anyone caught this altercation on video and/or if anyone else witnessed the incident. Seems like a bands forum would be a good place to look for witnesses. confused13.gif

I tried watching that video and could only take a few seconds of it.

Her body language and facial expressions (esp the eyes) give off the strangest vibe.

Hello everybody,

This is my first visit to TRF after the 8/18 show.

I did see a lady in a green dress get escorted from front row after the encore, during the "I Love you man video".

I was in 4th row, seat 22 with my Brother in seat 21, Geddy side. (see my posts before concert date describing my seats),

The girl i mentioned was dancing during the concert, Hands in the air,

hippe-drunk-wannabe-belly dancing.

She did incrouch on seats around here.

When Rush ran off stage, the lady in the green dress started to run after Them,

She was stopped and detained and fought back.

During the show we had plenty of seat stealers, security escorted them out.

A gentleman was using a telephoto lens 35mm camera and security asked him to stop shooting pics with that camera.

There was a nice family next to us and when people started smoking dope next to them, security asked them to stop.

Plenty of drunks in the rows around us and secutity didn't throw any one out.

IMO Security restrained the lady because she started running after the band.

Security is there for crowd control, and thats what they did, controlled the crowd politely.

When I lit a cigarette I was asked politely to smoke at the outside stair rails or put it out and I did.

I have been to many Red rock shows and never had any trouble because i never caused any trouble.

If you act like an fool, you will be treated as such.

A post in this thread said the security asked people to leave loudly after the show, That is standard and you need a Thicker skin.

Wensday we stayed in the parkinglot well past 12PM.

Rush Kicks ass and so does red rocks!

If you can't control yourself, Stay Home so the rest of Us can enjoy the shows.

I won't respond to any "that's not the way it happened" or "Tom Sawyer sucked" or "They don't have the right" reply's to this Post.

Life is too short to deal with Idiots.

The OP claims she was escorted out before the encore.

Right when the band left the stage before the encore. Please contact me privately if you
can help my case. Thanks!

That doesn't jive with your account, at least as far as the OP is concerned.

If you go to Red Rocks, buy Necro a ticket and fly him out. You will have a great time, and you will not be bothered! atickhum.gif

Well honestly, in any venue anywhere, that is what happens. If the show's over, people need to leave. Why would they want to stay? We all know Rush doesn't come back out and sign autographs.

QUOTE (fool4rush @ Aug 20 2010, 09:11 AM)
I've been around since almost it began, no not since the birth of fire, since Rush
started touring North America. Been to almost 100 shows, usually spend bank to
get a great seat. I buy a front row to REDROCKS, supposed to be the best venue in the country, hmff. So there I am enjoying the show, when some guy that works for the venue, never saw him before, comes from nowhere, wrenches my arm back and up behind my back and starts dragging me out, before the show was over! No," hey your committing some imaginary crime, stop that , stop that having fun thing" no warning! Look, I'm already up front what could lil old me be up to???
It was terrifying and I was alone, and no one was willing to help except the other security dirt bags. I said "you can't put your hands on me take your hands off" and all that did was make this loser want to take me down harder and faster. The guy assaulted me, and more importantly made me miss some of the show. Are you kidding me? it happened so fast that I was then left standing out side alone w/ no purse, no id, no renta car keys, no plane tix home...WTF It never would have happened if I had some big beefy dude w/ me.
I'm not just a chick, I'm old. And I was assaulted for no reason....if there was a reason
needle dick, didn't take the time to even tell me. I felt so helpless and humiliated.
What can we do? These venues need to be held accountable for the people THEY employ!
It is not my fault you didn't get that cop job!
Any thoughts, anyone have footage? I have a police report on file and the bruises to match. Is this what we women have to go thru??
What my $ isn't enough now you need my blood!

OP needs to elaborate some ......

Security doesn't just go to front row & grab ticket holders & drag them out for NO reason.

Especially women !

OP has only said they said 1 thing to her " Rush has stalkers " ?

OP never elaborated on how she got her Purse & tickets & Rental car keys back Ect !

Did she communicate at all with security & venue personnel ?

Yes, security can be heavy handed pricks sometimes

When you are just trying to have a good time & it seems like they want to ruin it

But again, they don't just go to front row ticket holders & grab people & yank them out for NO reason !

And they don't twist you arm behind you back unless you resist !

OP has not told us the Whole Story !

Too bad coming to THIS forum, only got her treated badly even more.  sad.gif

We don't know the full story, and there are two sides to every one. But I'd like to think we don't have to be suspicious of her JUST because she is new here.

I don't think that's fair, that's not what's happening here. No one is suspicious of this just because it is a new member, or because we are such big fans that we don't think anything bad like this could happen, as Necromancer claimed. It is because the whole thing simply sounds fishy. The way the OP has been talking is very vague and unclear and suggests that there is more that went on that is purposely being left out. It all reeks of someone who just doesn't want to admit that they actually did something that caused them to get removed, and they just want to get revenge on security for doing so. It doesn't help that repeated requests for clarification or elaboration on several things have been ignored. Of course, we do not know the whole story, and I may be completely wrong, perhaps it all happened just as the OP says. But my point is that it is not unreasonable to suspect something is amiss with all this, and it has nothing to do with it being a new member or any other reason like that.

OK, I looked at my video a few times. My field of view at the end of the second set went from the left side of video screen all the way over to Geddy's keyboards on the right (and I mean audience left and right). I can see the first row and see two security guys, one roughly in between myself and Alex's pedalboard, the other a little towards the middle of the stage from Geddy's main (non-keyboard) vocal mic. I shot video until a few seconds after the band was completely off stage. My video shows the left side guard talking to a lady, then she walked right to the front of stage center. The guard closer to Geddy's side just stands there, facing the audience, not moving.

So this isn't definitive but it is of no help to the OP. Possibly she was sitting wide right, outside of Geddy's keyboards and therefore out of my field of view. But I don't see anyone being taken away by security and I don't see anyone in row 1 dancing out in the aisle. I just see two guards being mellow and a few hundred people waving their arms in the air.

I was waiting for my wife to come back from the bathroom.

I don't think that I would have been mistaken for a loiterer or an autograph hound, but that's obviously not how they saw it.

Did you get your rental-car-keys/purse/plane tix back? If you did, How?

Were you there alone or with someone else who saw all of this happen?

Were you drunk? Yeah, I know that there are lots of people drunk at concerts, but inebriated folks are far more likely to do something worthy of being tossed - and not remembering it later when they sober up. You remember being tossed obviously because that's pretty traumatic/stressful.

It's hard to believe your story 100% since there are lots of little details missing. It would just seem strange that this one security guy singled you out for no apparent reason. If they'd been doing it to lots of different fans at that show, we've have heard about it probably.

I understand security is different people at each show, and all I can speak about is my own experience at the venues I've been at. You very well might have encountered one of those 'bad apples' and if what you say is accurate and true, you really should pursue it to the full extent of the law. I know I sure would if someone did that to me or my wife.

Good luck to you!

-Tim
