Still think he needs to grow a pair and grow up.

I'm pretty sure that comment was unnecessary.

So because some people want the rules to be followed, they need to grow up? How does that work?

The world is exactly the opposite of where it should be nowadays. Just forget about it.

I am so confuse sad.gif

Well I'll be damned..................

She did it again.

I am gonna name names.

RUSHGIRL from Toronto.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
You snuck up front row again in Columbus and you weaseled out another front row experience without paying the exorbitant money paid by another person.

I think you ought to be truly ashamed of yourself.  You did it in Vegas and you did it in Columbus.  I don't know why some people feel the need to be so immature.  Those around you just shake their heads in disbelief.  Rude, disrespectful and immature as holy hell.  Jesus.  I wonder how many other venues you did this at and how many other folks you took advantage of???????

What a whiney bitch.

Everyone loves Rushgirl and NO-ONE gives two shits if she nudges up to the front (twice - oh the world)

What kind of a pussy cares about this sort of thing? Rush fans are indeed a rare breed - most of them are cool but man, some of them are just absolute ankle biting pansies.

Grow a set.

And Rock on, Rushgirl we LOVE YOU smile.gif

I love you too RushGirl...when I saw your front picture on Rush.com I was proud of you...like my little sister hit it big.

Someone in this thread posted that it is a concert and like it or not, it happens.

I'm front row for Holmdel Friday (if the show isn't cancelled due to Hurrican Earl) and I know before I even get there that it is going to be a bit of fight up there...that's rock and roll for you!

Rushgirl...you rock and I'm pretty confident in saying that you have never made it front row by being rude and obnoxious.

To those who paid good money for your front row seats, I do feel bad that your show was interrupted by less than polite idiots, every show, sadly, has them.

Love Rush, love all of you Net Boys and Net Girls!

~Peace, RGLT

Here's my 2 cents:

I get annoyed if I'm 20 rows back on the floor, lets say aisle seat, and guys with inner seats keep moving past me to get from their seats during the concert to get beer and more beer. Dont get me wrong...I love beer. But constantly asking me to move so they can get past...yea, it ruins my enjoyment of the concert. And heck, these guys paid for their seats.

Now, assume I'm way closer to stage, but still on the aisle. I may have to deal with the beer drinkers noted above. But now I have to be bothered with letting friends of friends of the real ticket holder, who is in my aisle, get by me to "trade seats" for a little while at the show. Convince me that this is NOT ruining my enjoyment of the show. IMO, this is even worse than the beer runners...they own their seats...but the single seat belongs to the original ticket holder only and shouldn't be 'rented out' to a bunch of people. If you're going to do this, then don't abuse it and do it during intermission only...no problem. Once the show starts, only legitimate ticket holders of my aisle really have the "right" to ask me to move so they can get to, or leave, their seats.

Next, this 1/2 row seating discussion, where 2 people crowd in to 1 seat location by "piggy-backing". If I'm seated on either side, I'd be annoyed, because now I have to deal with 2 people in that single seat location (more noise, potential for beer spillage, potential for twice as much weed getting smoked...wait, scratch that last one). And if I'm directly behind them, now I have to try to see around 2 heads instead of 1. So yeah, that person is inconveniencing the legit ticket holder(s) in the immediate vicinity.

Bottom line: I paid for my seat. So did many other people. I love this band probably as much as many of you here. Love of the band has absolutely nothing to do with this topic. Be considerate of your neighbor. Don't ask them to move too often so you can get beer/piss/smoke/text/chat...whatever. Trading seats is OK if you don't abuse it, and do it at an opportune time in the show. And definitely don't crash the floor if you don't have a ticket...to me, that demonstrates the true "wealth envy" of a person.

some people love rush to the point where they must be seen and acknowledged by the band to satisfy their "connection."

While I don't necessarily condone front-row sneakage, I think it's entirely unfair to make that characterization without really knowing her.

I don't know her myself. But her posts here, for the most part (until today, not surprisingly), have been quite open and friendly and outgoing - "please come up and introduce yourself"!, etc. She has a LOT of friends on both boards, people who have met her. That says something.

I suspect it's at least partly because she has so many friends in the Rush community that she does make the occasional "unsanctioned" foray up front.

I just don't see it as "needing" the band's acknowledgement. She seems pretty damn confident and self-assured without getting props from Rush.

Rushgirl is a great human being!!! She is honest, and lives life to the fullest.

So are many of us.

It is still a rude, UNCOOL thing to do regardless of how nice she is while outside of the arena. Any of you here who support such actions at the expense of inconveniencing folks around you are just being ridiculous. The begging she does when they ask her to move is pathetic and distracting. The reappearance later during the show was disrespectful to the security guards and all of those around her who realized what was going on and it's distracting from the concert.

It sounds like you are not going to change what you are doing Rushgirl, so THAT ALONE tells me what kind of person you really are.

And just how many times have YOU witnessed me to this??

You PUBLICALLY call me out on a board about doing this and make it seem like EVERY show I go to I do this, point of fact is I DO NOT and 80% of the people here know it as does THE BAND - FACT!

My .02 cents take is this: You see me get my picture up on rush.com and a wave from the guys and you ARE jealous.

Don't you dare pass judgement on me about what kind of person I truly am because you have no idea......

Have we ever met face to face? Have YOU ever had a conversation with me either at a show or privately by PM?? NO

So you calling me out and making me out to be some kind of insenstive concert goer makes YOU a douchebag, and that is the kind of person you are.

Point of fact: Genaro thinks you are off your nut - he never said any such thing to you - I suggest you get your facts straight before you quote him in any way, and by all means, please do come up and introduce yourself if you see me at a show.

I would be more than happy to prove you wrong about me being an inconsiderate and rude person.

I wouldn't be so sure that 80% know any such thing and I also wouldn't be so sure "the band" knows whether you pay or not for front row 90% of the time (not that what the band thinks is really relevant here and not sure why you would even bring something like that up, but...) - how would they know something like that?

And I don't think he or anyone else is jealous of you.

You say don't pass judgement and I agree on that in general, but I don't think it is really that far of a reach to pass judgement on your actions on this - both the incident itself, but maybe more importantly how you have handled yourself on this situation today. Calling people a douche bag, accusing them of being "jealous", running to CP to start a thread titled "TRF Whiners" and comparing the entire board to Tri-Net etc, when you are the one who broke the rules and got called out on it doesn't increase your standing IMO. In fact, aren't you passing judgment on this entire board based solely on an incident that has been brought to light by one user? confused13.gif

I agree that maybe a public post by VS calling you out "by screen name" wasn't the best way to go about it. But really a simple post by you saying "Wow! I had no idea I was bothering anyone by doing what I did, by breaking the rules like that! I am so sorry and I will definitely think twice the next time - I never thought I was bothering a fellow Rush fan! I hope you accept my apologies" would have gone a hell of a lot further with people than to act as though you did absolutely nothing wrong, that you somehow have an entitlement to be up there without paying and then proceeding to trash this board on another board for absolutely no valid reason.

I think you are probably a really good person, a dedicated Rush fan, and I don't think incident is necessarily indicitive of who you are and I hope no one passes judgement on you as a whole, but I think taking responsibility for actions goes a long way.

I won't post anything else in here - I really don't want to fight with anyone. I just don't think you are portraying this correctly and I disagree with your assessment of both this board and of the people who have expressed their opinion against "front row jumping". Peace. trink39.gif
