I like some more than others, but I don't not like any of them.

This.

There are some of the later albums that I don't think are as good as the early stuff but even they have songs I like on them. Presto didn't impress me much overall at first but it's' got some good songs on it. They've never put out a studio or alive album that sucked in my opinion.

I love almost all, but to be honest test for echo..just really didnt work at all for me. unsure.gif Listened to it many times and i love a few songs of course but as a whole..probably the bottom of my list. Side note: Vapor Trails while driving is the ONLY way to actually appreciate it and enjoy it IMO. Try it out sometime 653.gif

Those are terrible.

You love Alex though, right? I mean, who doesn't? The man is charming.

The albums Alex plays on are tolerable. At best.

Well, here is where you and I differ.

I honestly can't decide on a Rush album I don't like; If it's a case of "Like the least" then that would be Roll The Bones. It still has fantastic tracks though; like Dreamline or Ghost of a Chance

It's just everything else on RTB isn't up to par with those two.

Threads like this just reminds us all of how consistent Rush is. smile.gif

Rush doesnt have any albums I dont like but from Roll The Bones to this very moment I really just dont seem to totally love any of it. Just like most bands are 20-30 years into their career studio album-wise, but Rush may be quite a bit better. I'm not really a huge fan of any bands studio work 20-30 years after their beginnings but I'll go and see them in concert.

If I had to pick one, I'd go with Vapor Trails. I have the cd but it is just too loud and obnoxious for me. Not really the songs, just the production. I'm thinking of maybe downloading a copy that is weaker bit rate, just so I can f***king hear it without getting a headache; unless someone has a better idea....

Signals does nothing for me.

Actually, you're not alone there. I won't say that I dislike Signals (I don't hate any of them) but I'm not a big fan of the album. While there are some great songs on it, Alex's guitar is too far down in the mix and tends to get swamped. However, when they play the songs live, they are brilliant so maybe it ought to have recorded live on stage - that could have made it one of my favourites.

Similarly, I'm not a big fan of Vapor Trails. Some good songs (some not so good) but I do find the album painful to listen to on occasion.

Test For Echo is another low ranking one. This time, I really can't put my finger on the reason. It just doesn't seem to gel with me.

Finally there's Power Windows which is a weird one. If I'm in the mood for it, I think it's a fantastic album and love every minute. Then again, there are times I'll put it on and ask myself why I'm listening to it. There's no middle ground in my reactions - I either love it or hate it.
