I must've missed something big. I've seen a handful of negative threads, but hadn't seen anything Troll-like. There's a difference between being a Troll and just saying something the boys have done isn't awesome. But if two people were banned, it must've been something worse than just "Let's face it, the first set sucks."

Seems most nubs around here think that if someone voices their opinion, and it differs than their own, they just call them a troll.

 

Trolling would be coming here and saying metallica is better than rush. But saying a setlist sucks, or that you dont like the new songs is actually just an opinion, not trolling.

Of course this depends on how you act on your opinion. If you state the fact and only continue posting you opinion, fine. However if you continue to shove it in everyone else's faces and bash other people for liking the setlist, that is a whole different story.

 

I don't know what happened leading to this event, so I can't say for sure; however the last time I remember someone getting banned, it was after weeks if not months of intolerable behavior by one particular individual that was splitting the forum into friends of this kid and everyone who was tired of him.

 

IMO the forum admins handled this situation how they probably should. How many members have you seen banned in this forum? Not very many. They tend to control the forum with a mindset of "what's best for everyone" and not "this person is just being a big d-bag about one thing".

I believe this thread was started in response primarily to the two OBVIOUS trolls from yesterday, Phallic's Lifeson and Cygnys. That they are Rush fans mattered very little, as both had an agenda to stir up the shit and then set it on fire. Classic attention whores, both.

 

I have no issue with someone posting a negative opinion, though I like to see WHY someone doesn't like/isn't happy about the setlist/performance/band's hairstyles. "Song ****** sucks" followed by twenty of the barfing smiley icons is a cop-out.
