Wow. it's theads like this that keep me on the sidelines. this will be my 77th post, so I couldn't get into the SOCN forums if I wanted to, which as of right now, I DON'T. I got into a bit of a tiff on this board a couple years back with Necro, and frankly, I'm too old for that crap.

 

(Necro and I worked it out, by the way, so don't anybody think that he's keeping me from posting here. It's just the garbage like the recent trolling. Necro's actually a pretty okay guy, in a weird, confrontational kinda way.)

You're going to find trolls on nearly any forum. Part of the game.

 

The one other forum where I do any kind of active posting (it's not Counterparts, BTW - I usually lurk there) has an almost too-active troll radar. They're a little clique-ish and given to screaming "troll!!!" at almost any new person who starts a thread that might get even mildly controversial. Anyone who hasn't been a member for at least 2 years and has under 2000 posts is suspect. It gets very tiresome at times, and I think they run off a lot of good people.

 

The cool thing I noticed about TRF right away was that I felt comfortable jumping in immediately, even starting a thread. Granted my thread topics weren't inflammatory at all, but the board overall has a very welcoming feel to it.

Really, I had no issue with what the guys played. It was nice to hear some songs I haven't heard live in, ever! Or at least 30 years. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I am to mine.

 

I loved the show, liked every song the guys played and thought they never sounded better, tighter than they did this time round. Geddy's voice was even in better shape than past years, or so it seemed.

 

I am mostly very happy the band still sounds great, is still putting out new material and did play a few songs not heard in years. Playing all of Moving Pictures was a plus!

 

Sound sugar coated? Sickly sweet? Well it sodding well should I am a Rush FAN!

 

 

So complain away folks.....your only wrecking your whole day, not mine!
