So I have a question for y'all

Sorry you're out of luck. They slowed it down even MORE this tour! Every eighth note is a quarter note! Its horrible!

YYZ is still kinda slow, but Limelight is back up to the tempo on the album.

not the way I heard it....

YYZ sounded perfect tempo-wise

Funny. I was also at the Albuquerque show, and everything seemed quite uptempo to me.

do they play these songs at a set tempo like with a click track or something, or does it just vary night after night?

Rush no longer use Click tracks.... There's nothing on either song that's sequenced..

My friend Brian whom I brought to the show (who is a very avid studier of Rush drums, said that Neil reverted to all the original fills from the MP album as well as the tuning of the analog drums. Apparantly Neil deviated in the late 80's on how he played them)

How about YYZ at this tempo? This is one of my favs just from the surrounding fans reactions.

They don't use a click track. Everything they do is how they do it. If it's off it means they are just a tad bit slow that night.

I didn't do this with all the songs, but on the ones that have had "tempo issues" on recent tours, I compared the bootleg from opening night to the studio versions.

YYZ and Limelight's length are both like... 2-3 seconds longer in the live versions, so I think the tempos are pretty on point with the album versions.

Same goes for the rest of the set (which I won't list, in case you're trying to avoid it.) Tempos are pretty on for the whole show! BU2B started off a little slow but picked up by the chorus.
