It is very important to be able to laugh at yourself.

As for walking into doors, more often than not lately I find myself having to be at the height of awareness at all times lest I do something potentially dangerous.

Tell me about it, yesterday I was driving through town thinking of something else and turned right into a one way street going the wrong way- I have only lived here 25 years :D I can smile because it is a very quiet street, no other cars, I just turned around in someone's driveway, I realized it right away. I was wondering why I don't usually go that way, ha ha ??!!

The past month I went through a red light - twice. My mind was elsewhere. That's dangerous. It scared me.

I had forgotten how classic that was- "How would he know where we're going?" Lorraine, I'm glad you are OK!

The final product and it's been since Monday so it's pretty well healed. I am thrilled with the results. Paying homage to the early days and I have always loved the bad@ss FBN owl... :dweez: A couple shots and I tried my best to stay out of them

It was so wonderful, but I feel like I'm getting old.

And a little bit poorer no doubt...

Me and sitboaf - the first TRFer I ever met in real life. We are at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio, where we went to see a soccer match. This is the stadium where Rush in Rio was recorded, and where the World Cup finals of 1950 and 2014 were held:

I met Glenn Hughes and Doug Aldrich at Glenn´s show last night. Both were really nice to chat with. I said to Glenn that I´d already met him in ´98 at the Monsters of Rock show in São Paulo and he said "we´ve certainly come a long way...thank you for being a fan for so long! Thank your parents for showing you all kinds of good music". I spoke with Doug about the Revolution Saints album, which he said is "pretty much Journey part II, and even though we received generous offers to tour Japan and Europe, Tommy Shaw pulled out of the project to do other things.". He also said he recorded his parts, but the producer gave the final album a whole different vibe, and it was co0mpletely different from what he expected the band to sound.

I just showed my husband your photos, he is very jealous!! He has been a Deep Purple fan for forever, including the Glenn Hughes years. Wow, Glenn Hughes, and Doug Aldrich, that must have been an excellent show! We ( near Hershey, PA) were supposed to have Van Halen tonight but they cancelled at the last minute saying David Lee Roth has the flu. I didn't have tix but bummer for those that did.

Oh shit, I'm supposed to see them on the 25th. Looks like that might not be happening now.

Hopefully just a 24 hour thing and not a broken nose, ha ha, although actually that would have better, the show still went on with that. With a full 48+ hrs to rest I bet they put on an awesome show on the 25th!

If not, it's not a huge loss. I don't have to travel far and I'm not booking a hotel like many others. And I'm sure if Dave performs it will be decent because it'll be the first time he's had to sing in over a week :D
