I think a lot of people have an interest in Rush about now. They made all my sig pics go away. Too many views and too much bandwidth used from Photobucket (and too much posting on my part) . Gonna have to do a little work and spread them out on other image hosting sites. I don't get that. How did so many users make your sig pics go away? I just looked and now the count is: 153 guests, 96 members 5 anonymous members It seems like TRF is running a bit slow. Maybe it's just my trying to open certain threads though.

Ya_Big_Tree Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 At work today I dazzled some guys with my extensive hockey knowledge and then they found out I love Rush and I got 3 marriage proposals.
Janie Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Both kids are napping. This is quite a coup. They had back-to-back doctor appointments this morning and it wore them out.
Boots Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I didn't get invited to any weddings this summer. I got invited to a funeral, which is even better. I used to be a bit of a goth. People always say it's a phase, and you'll grow out of it. I never really did. Somehow it stayed with me. I love funerals. People are so genuinely sincere, humble, and reverent. There's no arrogance or false pretense. You won't usually find a lot of people showing off or trying to get picked up. Not if they have any class or decency. The music is always so amazing that it moves me to tears, especially if it's something like "Imagine" or "Empty Garden." You don't have to buy a gift if you don't want to (if you weren't close to the deceased). Most families would rather have the money donated to a charity of their preference. You get a meal too. All you have to do is just show up. And unless it's the funeral of a major celebrity, you don't need an engraved invitation.
Xanadu93 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 So I was kinda feeling meh like I often do at night, looking at other people on Facebook out having fun and shit, and a friend of mine there asked me about hanging out with his girlfriend and a bunch of other people on the 4th of July - hanging out around downtown and then going over to South Carolina to shoot some of our fireworks and watch the show. It made my day, because I'm actually gonna hang out with people that I love very much and miss a lot, and because it's not at a baseball game. Can't wait for the 4th!
troutman Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Watching.. "Beyond The Lighted Stage". And realizing how fortunate I was to see the band grow through out the decades and be the awesome musicians that they are!!

You go, Ya!!!! We Rush chicks do rock quite a bit. We're awesome! I got another marriage proposal today and a $10 tip just for being a redhead. The guy had a real passion for redheads. Also my day started off shitty but a nice money making day at work with a free drink and dancing afterwards made me feel a ton better. Edited July 1, 2010 by Ya_Big_Tree

Mara Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Oh wow. Deal of the century. We've been needing a new AC unit for some time. The one we have DOES work, but it's 20 years old, highly inefficient, and really too small for the house. My neighbor has his own heating & air business; really nice guy with a sweet family. I saw him when I was out with the dogs and asked about recharging the unit. He gave me a price ($50 - a deal for about 4 lbs of freon), and I told him about the issues with the unit. He has some refurbished ones that are about 5 years old and still under warranty. Offered me one, installed, for $300. I am still floored - brand new ones run about 10x that. $300 for a new AC. Amazing.
Ya_Big_Tree Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Not wiping out in the torrential downpour on my bike today and getting home safe.
