My workplace was doing seafood demos today and they were delicious. It was a good omen for a day that ended up not half bad!

And of course, seeing a message from Babycat can make anyone's day.

Well this was all yesterday technically but I went to see Steven Wilson last night at Newcastle city hall which was an amazing show! I got some good photos thanks to my photography pass (I'll put them in the photography thread sometime soon :) ) and since I kind of know the merchandise manager I got a signed tour book from Steven Wilson! And then after the show I met Craig Blundell (the drummer) and Nick Beggs (bassist) and Nick signed my tour book and my Mute God's CD! Also bought my first vinyl there - Steven Wilson's 4 1/2 - so now I need to get my dad to fix his record player

Altogether it was a great night!

What's on May 1st?

Fly fishing for Steelhead Trout in southeast Alaska. :hail:

Wait ... you? A trout fisherman? Whoda thunk?!

;)

Considering last year,

I am beginning to question that. :P

My brother plays in a band and they asked me to record some tracks for them. In the meantime my own band moved out of our rehearsal space, so our mixing console and studio monitors are at my place at the moment. I couldn't help setting it all up on my desk, hook up my amplifiers and wail away on my guitar.

It's gonna be hard handing it all back when we get a new rehearsal space ;)

Music...

Spend the weekend just listening to music, drinking coffee & doing stuff around the house.

Listened to all kinds of bands and artists and just am really appreciative for music in my life.

"I know its only rock 'n' roll, but I like it..."

Friday, Saturday and Sunday's playlist...

The Joe Perry Project - I've Got the Rock 'n' Rolls Again

Billy Idol - Rebel Yell

The Kinks - Give the People What They Want

Alice Cooper - Special Forces

Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Re*Ac*Tor

Bob Seger - Against the Wind

The Rolling Stones - Tattoo You

Roger Taylor - Fun in Space

Journey - Infinity

Christine McVie - Christine McVie

Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind

Beastie Boys - Liscence to Ill

Nirvana - Nevermind

The Clash - Combat Rock

Stray Cats - Gonna Ball

The Waterboys - This is the Sea

Ryan Adams - Rock 'n' Roll

The Jim Carroll Band - Catholic Boy

Thin Lizzy - Renegade

Sounds perfect! I did that this afternoon too. I also indulged in some online music shopping. Happy Valentine's Day!

One of our neighbors got a donkey! :) I love them.

That's so cool! Did you get to pet him...what is his name? I wish I lived somewhere where we could have pets like that.

No, but I heard him when I went outside earlier.

We had one on the adjoining property for a year and a half. I enjoyed him so much. His name was Walter.
