Wizards won yesterday. Nationals won yesterday. Caps play tonight, and they tend to win when I watch. Nats play tonight, as well, so I will be flipping back and forth.

My brother sent me a pair of professional-grade headphones for my birthday. (This was a total surprise!). It's a belated gift, but it's not one that I expected at all.

It's not from a material aspect that this has affected me. I'm twelve years older than he is, and so we didn't exactly grow up together...we get along just fine, but we just don't talk to each other, really. Historically, we haven't had much of a relationship at all. And the fact that he wanted to do something like that for me is just...kind of touching.

I sent him an email to thank him, just because I figured it would be the quickest way to reach him (that, and the fact that we haven't talked to each other on the phone for years), and I've already heard back from him.

It will be a pleasure trying to figure out what I can do for him in return. We might be able to get together sometime this summer.

They had about 20 flavors and I was reading trying to figure out what I wanted (couldn't tell you the last time I had ice cream) when I saw that; end of decision making process.

Found out this morning that I have only one more day of rehab and (most likely) no more surgeries.

My nine year old son walking around the house muttering, "Subdivisions".

Finally!

A follow up: While walking the dogs, my son says to me, "When we get home, can we listen to that New Man of the Earth song?" :D

Listening to my new speakers...again. They are starting to get broke in and they keep sounding better and better.

Aren't you the one who stuck a screwdriver in the first set of speakers you got?

Yea...that was a speaker in my car. These are my home speakers. I don't even bring a screwdriver near them!

Right now, I'm watching my niece graduate from Viterbo University with a degree in Sports Management and Leadership. It's been a long, painful journey, as she's had to endure financial hardship, an abusive loser father (whom she has finally disowned) and recent disk surgery. Her commitment to completing her degree with distinction has been nothing short of extraordinary.....

This is actually from yesterday but my son graduated from Coastal Carolina U with a major in philosophy and a minor in history. We are so proud of him. He got through 2 years of very major health problems at the beginning of his college years and got back to it and finished it. He has more guts in his little finger than I will ever have in my entire body. We couldn't be more proud of him. A few photos below from our day yesterday... :)

I agree- Narp, that's awesome. I wasn't aware that your son had had some health problems. Fantastic accomplishment, for him to finish his degree.

And you do have a great looking family!

Thanks my friend. I couldn't have done better and be more blessed if I tried. I got it all. One more pic and I will spare you folks from here on out with the graduation sh*t. Just love my son (and daughter of course) so much... :)
