Maverick
Wizards won yesterday. Nationals won yesterday. Caps play tonight, and they tend to win when I watch. Nats play tonight, as well, so I will be flipping back and forth.

Blue J
My brother sent me a pair of professional-grade headphones for my birthday. (This was a total surprise!). It's a belated gift, but it's not one that I expected at all. It's not from a material aspect that this has affected me. I'm twelve years older than he is, and so we didn't exactly grow up together...we get along just fine, but we just don't talk to each other, really. Historically, we haven't had much of a relationship at all. And the fact that he wanted to do something like that for me is just...kind of touching. I sent him an email to thank him, just because I figured it would be the quickest way to reach him (that, and the fact that we haven't talked to each other on the phone for years), and I've already heard back from him. It will be a pleasure trying to figure out what I can do for him in return. We might be able to get together sometime this summer.

Principled Man
Right now, I'm watching my niece graduate from Viterbo University with a degree in Sports Management and Leadership. It's been a long, painful journey, as she's had to endure financial hardship, an abusive loser father (whom she has finally disowned) and recent disk surgery. Her commitment to completing her degree with distinction has been nothing short of extraordinary..... :ebert: :ebert:

Narps
This is actually from yesterday but my son graduated from Coastal Carolina U with a major in philosophy and a minor in history. We are so proud of him. He got through 2 years of very major health problems at the beginning of his college years and got back to it and finished it. He has more guts in his little finger than I will ever have in my entire body. We couldn't be more proud of him. A few photos below from our day yesterday... :)http://s8.postimg.org/srj6h4u8l/20150509_081417.jpg Some proud parents... :dweez:http://s12.postimg.org/dux7nime5/20150509_083632.jpg Heading up to get his diploma... http://s10.postimg.org/4lfyxd45l/20150509_130454.jpg Both my babies afterwards.... http://s3.postimg.org/yfue7f12r/20150509_130529.jpg My wife, Nicklaus, Danielle and me of course... :dweez: :dweez: :dweez:
