Autographs?

Recommended Posts

On this subject I was wondering if anyone in the States would be prepared to do me a huge favour.....

Unfortunately im not able to get across the pond to see a show - hopefully Europe and the UK will follow....

My son who is 8 is a huge fan and I want to get a birthday card signed by the band for him.....it would make his year!!

Would anyone therefore be prepared to forward a card on to a venue to hopefully get signed...and then forward it onto me?? I will of course send some cash to cover the price of postage to the venue, for the SAE and back to the UK...

Its hard because i dont know the price of postage in the US and how to get hold of valid stamps etc....

I would really appreciate someones help on this so please if you can help send me a message and we can take it from there....

Many thanks for reading this!

I don't really know if I trust that the autographs people recieve are really signed by Rush....A long time ago my father used to send stuff to Dale Earnhardt and have it come back with personalized autographs but then it came out that it wasn't even him signing the stuff...BIG disappointment...so unless they send a photo of Rush signing my stuff along with it, I wouldn't trust it laugh.gif

Im with you here. Id much rather see the item get signed to ensure its authentic.

Just have it sent from the UK; that way you won't have to worry about US stamps, yes? Ask your postal service how long it would take to get to whichever venue and prepare accordingly. If it's only a card, it won't cost much, nor would you have to worry about insurance, etc.

Should work. Say something to the effect "My son wishes he could make the show tonight; would you please autograph/sign this birthday card? He'd be so excited! Thanks very much"

I remember a while back from the last tour people would send stuff to the venue to get signed? I can't remember the exact details but this sort of thing is relevant to my interests.....

Check it out. My package came back with Rush autographs + Bonus!

I sent a priority package ahead of time to the San Fran show on 8/9. I had a nice cover letter and some stage "stuff" for the boys based on their hobbies mentioned in the DVD. I also sent a new 10" Remo coated batter head to be signed....and pre-paid return label...blah, blah.

I got the package back today and it had a different head...upon inspection, it was not only signed by all 3 but it is a used 10" DW head (I'm assuming) from Neil! They also choose to throw in a bonus signed concert program!

Sweet!!!

Awesome! I'll say it again - I think it's so cool that Neil takes the time to personalize.

Sending the drum head - and that was EXTREMELY thoughtful of Neil.

That's pretty cool that Rush went the extra mile. I sent in a few things to the Seattle show, got one back. I sent another package off asking if they could sign my tourbook from the Seattle show. Hoping to get that back next week.

Got my GUP mini tourbook from Replay x3 back from Red Rocks already. Sweet!

I love seeing these and I think it's so awesome that the guys sign things. Still perplexed though as to why my TSOR guitar sheet music was returned unsigned in my previous package?? Hopefully my tour book made it to the Wichita venue (tomorrow nights show). I sent that along with the SOR sheet music again, this time both with sticky notes attached asking if the guys could sign these items for me. I truly just want Alex's sig on that sheet music. That would make me the happiest little fan.

Zanadoo - I sent the item to Red Rocks' address on their website addressed to Liam Birt, Rush Tour Manager with a self-addressed envelope with postage inside. I just put a sticky note on the item saying Thanks for the music guys! & put my name on it. Edited by skindzier

I mailed a copy of Permanent Waves to the Utah show. I got back from vacation last night and this was waiting cor me...the post office beat it up quite a bit (probably my own fault for not supplying more rigid packing material) but I am still really happy with it!!
