mortkort
on Time Stand Still: Summer's going fast, nights growing colder Children growing up, old friends growing older the part that starts at 2:17 on Witch Hunt and i dig how neil use the ride cymbal during the chorus on Cold Fire
Mr. Not
The Trees The bass in the intro. The Drum and Bass bit right before Alex's solo ..And the very ending of the song "The trees are all kept equal, by hatchet... axe... and saw!" a truly epic conclusion to a great song lyrically and instrumentally, my favorite song from hemispheres hands down. xXDreamlinerXx
The bass chords in the pre-chorus of Chain Lightning (Respond... Vibrate...) . They sound just so packed with energy and fury almost... and then it goes smooth... The entire pre-chorus and chorus of Available Light. It gives me chills every time, it's indescribable. And the little riff Alex does right after his solo... The drums in Mystic Rhythms. Need I say more? THE FREAKING SOLO IN EMOTION DETECTOR. In my mind, his absolute best. That dive bomb gets me every time... Mind you, I'm just scratching the surface here.

greg2112
I especially like THIS part of Necromancer: Brooding in the tower Watching o'er his land Holding ev'ry creature Helplessly they stand Gaze into his prisms Knowing they are near Lead them to the dungeons Spectres numb with fear They bow defeated AWESOME. Just AWESOME.

Zanadoo
Camera Eye 7:58 when Ged's bass goes up high for those couple of notes. I always slappa da bass to that.
Solitudeix
QUOTE (psionic11 @ Apr 18 2010, 10:02 PM) That's what's a bit of a letdown with T4E and S&A.... they're too slow... In your opinion of course... I happen to think the swaggering prowl of slow-hard-rocking songs (depending on which) sounds more confident and determined and thus heavier. 2-3 hits with a sledgehammer > 20 hits with a tack hammer. IMHO.

moedrabowsky
Freewill -- The part where Alex does this harmonic thing at the end of the solo, where everything comes back together -- epic AFTK -- The opening electric chords after the gentle intro TSOR -- The intro. Magnificent. The chorus of Beneath, Between, Behind Hemispheres -- "Let the truth of love be lighted, let the love of truth shine clear..." I'm sure there are a billion others. GeddyLeefan2112
The Analog Kid: "You move me, you move me...." "And when I leave I don't know what I'm hoping to find, and when I leave I don't know what I'm leaving behind." Subdivisions: "Drawn like moths we drift into the city. The timeless old attraction, cruising for the action. Lit up like a firefly just to feel the living night." Leave That Thing Alone: Anything to do with Geddy's bass. Natural Science: "Wheels within wheels in a spiral array...." Grand Designs: The end of the song with all of Geddy's "ooooohs". You know what I'm talking about. That is amazing. Red Sector A: "I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed..." Cygnus X-1: I really like everything before Geddy starts singing....well I mean I like everything after Geddy starts singing too, but I dunno the intro to that song... I just love it. The Pass: "Somewhat set a bad example, made surrender seem alright. The act of a noble warrior who lost the will to fight" Presto: "What a fool I used to be!" I could go on and on. flybynightgirl
QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Apr 14 2010, 11:58 AM) The solo section of the Trees gets me everytime, makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Mr. Not
The way Geddy sings during the verses of Faithless: Everything during those parts is awesome. "And all the preaching voices - Empty vessels ring so loud As they move among the crowd Fools and thieves are well disguised In the temple and market place" "And all the shouting voices Try to throw me off my course Some by sermon, some by force Fools and thieves are dangerous In the temple and market place"
