I know what Mapquest says but I was wondering what the locals think! I'll be leaving Toronto around noon or so, does that route get crazy on Fridays in the summer? But I'm excited to say that my friend - a fellow Rush-chick and my all time favorite concert companion - is making the flight from NYC to Detroit to go with me. (The hubby is grateful for it too.) I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am that she's coming!! Altho I'm a Michigander and not from Toronto, I have made the drive to & from Toronto many many times. You're looking at approximately a 2 -3 hr drive on the 401 to the 402 depending on how fast you go. Not sure of the construction on either 401 or the 402, but usually once you get past Mississauga, the drive is pretty smooth sailing. Especially on the 402. Mostly truckers heading to the Blue Water bridge. That's the route I go mostly to TO.
