I'm still waiting to hear from some friends/neighbors to figure out how many tix I need to buy. Tarkus - I bought a ticket for SPAC - 4th row in the Pit! I'll see you there! And to all my NE TRF peeps who are wondering - Yes, I'm planning on Boston also. Those will be my 3 Rush shows this year. No flying to Denver (to see my best friend and Red Rocks) or Phoenix or Seattle (where my brothers live). I 'spose I need to save some money for next year also! Keith - congrats on 10th row! If you're traveling a considerable distance, I don't rec. it, but for those of us who live close to venues, it's the best deal running. Recently: S&A leg II - I was approached by a scalper on my way to the ticket booth who wanted $100 for a single ticket - in the nosebleeds! I told him, 'no thanks I'll take my chances at the ticket booth' - he was adamant that I wouldn't find crap, and I said 'tell you what - hang out here, I'll be right back and I'll show you what I get.' I walked in, asked: 'tickets still available for the show tonight?' 'Absolutely.' I got to look at the seating chart and had the teller look for the best available seats in each section (there was no line). I found a dead-center front row balcony seat in an unsold section (no other seats sold around me). Face value (under $70). No service charge. No fee. No scalper 'markup'. I walked back to him and flashed the ticket. 'Dude, you got screwed!' he says. 'That's balcony! Mine on the floor!' 'I get to sit front row, center balcony with a beer in my hand, my feet on the railing, 15 feet above the crowd... with no one on either side or behind me. Your seat is almost 30 rows back from the front on the floor, which means I'll be standing for 3 hours crammed together, just to look at the top of people's heads.' We just don't have the extra money right now, so the Gahden will have to be our only definite stop for this tour. Hopefully I'll luck out and score tickets just before the show like I did a few years back.
