UGH this sucks. Graduation money = epic failure.... looks like I might be listening from my new home this gig- only 0.8 miles and $$$ away from seeing this show. WTF mate? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/fists%20crying.gif

So freaking close, yet so freaking far.....

At peak times, traffic can be a nightmare. This is a Friday show, so it will get real busy at about 5:00 (after work).

The concert is on a Thursday

I believe that Clark's ale house for a beef and cheddar and a couple of cask conditioned Armory Ales might be in order around lunch time. Milk doesn't tempt me. I will probably check out the butter sculpture though.

If there is, I'm not organizing it. I've failed twice at a meet up lol.

Let us know. I hope to take some time that afternoon to be at the fair itself.

After having such a great time at the SPAC show i'm thinking about going to this one as well. I've seen a couple shows at the fairgrounds where I live and i'm not a big fan of the seating style but Rush should make it worth it even if the seating is messed up at this one as well.

There's a few people I work with who are always cool about switching shifts when someone needs a day off so the odds are pretty good I will go to this http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Now that SPAC is over I am getting pumped for this show. Last time they played 'cuse was when I was 12. My mother wouldn't let me go...I have since forgiven her.

I was at that show. It was my first Rush show. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/653.gif

I'm more excited now about this show than I was when it was announced. After the SPAC show. Un fortunately the grandstand isn't nearly as nice as the SPAC, but then again, I'm going on 12 year old memories.

This time there's no sleepy ride home (in the pouring rain no less).

I just got the fair visitors guide from Wegmans the other day (basically an ad for the fair that's a few pages big), it shows off the attractions and performers at the fair, and has little pictures of all the bands playing there.

For $25 you get unlimited rides that day.

and at the Chevy court (the free with admission shows)

2pm - Eli Young Band

8pm - Little Big Town (not that anyone here will be there, Rush starts at 7:30)

I have that whole week off(complete coincidence, I scheduled in January), so I'll probably be at the fair all day.

Been a while since I took a stroll through the poultry building, or rode the rides for that matter. The things you forget to do when you've been there so many times...or just stop doing. Still I go at least once every year. But I never forget to get milk.

I saw that Kansas is playing a the Fair too. I just saw them at Harborfest and they were awesome. I may have to see them again. Two awesome bands at the State Fair. Could be a good one!

I hope to take a 1/2 day from work and head on over. I love the fair! Nothing says summer like fried dough, cows and concerts http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/1022.gif

They released restricted view seats a month or so back.

It's not sold out yet. I did a a check on ticketmaster and there's still seats available. Unfortunately it looks like all that's left it back up in the grandstand. I did a search for two tickets and for my brother and me and it gave me Grandstand 1 row BB. Then I did a search just for a single seat and it gave me Grandstand 3 row RR.

So weather anyone plans on going alone or with someone it looks like there isn't anything that close left right now.
