Another winner...Subsignal - Touchstone

I will be asking for cash for Christmas to satisfy my Prog needs.

Thought it was UK proggers Touchstone, but it's Touchstones, sounds good!

Progstreaming has cost me a lot this year!

And the BAND are called Subsignal. I'm not the brightest at the best of times....

CP member "Ghostwriter" gave me a heads up about this band a few years ago. They have some ex-members of the band Sieges Even if I remember correctly. On the whole this style of Neo-Prog's not really my cup of tea but they are a good band for this who lie that stuff.

I was forwarded this link of Prog and related.

Amazon List

I have listened to samples and three are really sticking out with me from first listen:

The Audio Guide to Happiness (Pt. 1) by Jolly

Long Distance Calling by Long Distance Calling

Eclectic Measure by Hypnos 69

The second release by DeeExpus - "The King Of Number 33" may well be the best prog album of 2011.

Here's a link...

Listening to a few tracks on Youtube, very good indeed.

These guys are called Remember Remember, from Glasgow. I think they are fantastic.

Yesterday my copy of "P'dice" by Paul Cusick was delivered & it's a most excellent slice of proggy goodness. In fact even though I've only lived with this album for around 30 hours I think that it's the best prog album that I've bought this year (and it's been a very good year for the genre).

I don't know how knew you all would consider them but Pain of Salvation. Currently obsessing over them.

Circa Survive and The Sounds of Animals Fighting are also pretty great.

P of S are fan-f**kin'-tastic.

Sisters is one of the finest tracks I've heard in many a long day.

Check out the new Airbag album "All Rights Removed" if you liked the way Porcupine Tree sounded before "In Absentia".

Love this album.

Very PT/Floyd. A good thing.

Thanks for the recommendation. Great Album.

Crippled Black Phoenix - (Mankind) The Crafty Ape

Superb, a concept album, progg and post rock in parts and strains of Kasabian/Hard-Fi here and there......powerful album. Not as sweeping as I Vigilante, but just as epic. Less majesty, more power to the people.

Here's the video for Laying Traps. Superb.

Air - Le Voyage Dans La Lune

It's mighty, it truly is.

Always hard to pinpoint what genre Air belong, but they're prog to me.

This is a soundtrack to George Melies 1902 film Le Voyage Dans La Lune(A Trip To The Moon). some of you may recognise it as footage of it was used for The Smashing Pumpkins Tonight Tonight video.
