PuppetKing2112
I could never get into college hoops as much as I do the NBA, but that's probably because my school's team is so bad unlike football. I'll probably catch a few games this year.
Test4VitalSigns
GO HEELS!! It is VERY hard for teams to repeat as champs nowadays but Heels are still loaded with talented players to make a run at it...if not this year the next few years look good..Coach Williams knows how to win. Rush Cocky
The South Carolina Gamecocks are a team to watch out for. Nearly everyone is back from the team that was SEC East co-champs a year ago, and we had an excellent recruiting class to boot.

Rush Cocky
Yep. The Calipari hiring reeks of desperation after a pisspoor Gillespie hiring. It's like hiring Lou Holtz to coach your football team....you'll have some success, sure, but you'll end up in trouble in the end.
tangy
Congrats to Syracuse for winning the 2K Coaches Versus Cancer tournie. Syracuse ranked #24 took down California ranked #12 and Carolina ranked #4 to win the tournie. I knew the Heels were in for a tough match when i watched Syracuse destroy Cal. The heels barely squeaked by Ohio State on thursday to make the final. Still as a tarheels fan I am fairly encouraged by the way our very young team played. In particular the Wear twins looked good. Earlier in the week I also watched Gonzaga give Michigan State all they could handle and almost pull over a major upset.

I guess because of the time difference I don't catch many games. I think that you are more likely to see an upset on any given night in college basketball than in any other sport. goose
QUOTE (tangy @ Nov 21 2009, 10:29 AM) I think that you are more likely to see an upset on any given night in college basketball than in any other sport. That's a big part of it's appeal. In basketball, there's a lot you can do strategy-wise to minimize a talent gap. In football, it's tougher to hide your weaknesses or control the style of play. Territorial_Game
How bout them Ags pullin off a couple upsets (Minnesota & Clemson)! tangy
QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Dec 1 2009, 11:26 PM) Whoohoo! Heels beat Michigan State in championship game rematch. 7-1! Wow, the heels looked great last night considering how young they are. Ed Davis is coming into his own. Even though the was a freshman last year, some thought he would go the highest in the NBA draft if he decided to enter it. I expect greatness from him. Henson, even though he is skinny as hell looks great too. The Wear twins seem to be real solid players too. Drew II is looking more promising too! Lets go Tarheels! goose
Looks like this will be a year of living vicariously for me. Our Nevada Wolf Pack is pretty marginal this year. Just lost at Pacific tonight, scoring their lowest total of the year - 58. Only gave up 61, though! (Can I take a full season of silver linings?)
